This marks our first published post regarding the price of venison jerky. Unlike beef jerky, where the price of beef jerky is updated annually, venison jerky price updates have only been done a couple of times in the last six years. While I have been harping about the increased price of beef jerky since 2022, venison jerky has risen even more dramatically.
For our venison jerky price updates, venison refers to jerky from the deer family. There are multiple groups of deer, but these venison jerky price updates do not include moose, caribou, reindeer, elk, or antelope.
In the process of finding 300 beef jerky makers for the 2022 and 2023 Beef Jerky Price Updates, we started noting what jerky makers also sell venison jerky, among other types of jerky. In this 2023 update, we managed to compile 21 different venison jerky makers across Canada and the USA. All jerky makers listed in this update sell venison jerky in bags of 1.75 ounces to 4 ounces. Venison jerky is more expensive than beef jerky and therefore is usually sold in smaller sizes to not scare away customers from the price of venison jerky.
In this 2023 venison jerky update, the price of venison jerky per ounce has remained the same since 2022.

The first seven jerky makers sort of make up the cheap price range, the next seven jerky makers or define an average price range, and the remaining jerky makers represent an expensive price for an ounce of venison jerky.
