This marks our first published post regarding the price of chicken jerky. Unlike beef jerky, where the price of beef jerky is updated annually, chicken jerky price updates were introduced in 2017. While I have been harping about the increased price of beef jerky since 2022, the price of chicken jerky has remained relatively steady for at least the last six years.
In the process of finding 300 beef jerky makers for the 2022 and 2023 Beef Jerky Price Updates, we started noting what jerky makers also sell chicken jerky, among other types of jerky. In this 2023 update, we compiled 18 chicken jerky makers across Canada and the USA. All jerky makers in this update sell chicken jerky in bags of 2 to 4 ounces.
In this 2023 chicken jerky update, the price of chicken jerky increased by 35 cents since at least 2017.
