This marks our first published post regarding the price of turtle jerky. Finding jerky makers that sell turtle jerky was challenging. Turtle jerky is hard to find and expensive. At least four jerky brands make turtle jerky but are currently out of stock. Some jerky makers sell turtle jerky but do not state the jerky weight. For whatever reason, the price of turtle jerky per ounce had a big increase in 2023.
In the process of finding 300 beef jerky makers for the 2022 and 2023 Beef Jerky Price Updates, we started noting what jerky makers also sell turtle jerky, among other types of jerky. In this 2023 update, we compiled five turtle jerky makers across the USA. All jerky makers in this price update sell turtle jerky in bags of 1 to 2 ounces. Turtle jerky is more expensive than beef jerky and therefore is usually sold in smaller sizes to not scare away customers from the price of turtle jerky.

In this 2023 turtle jerky update, the price of turtle jerky increased by $2.50 per ounce of turtle jerky, which is a significant increase in price.
