This marks our first published post regarding the price of biltong. For those who do not know, biltong is air dried beef that has South African roots. In this 2023 beef biltong update, 32 biltong makers across the USA were included. The price of biltong increased by 14 cents per ounce of biltong in 2023, a sizeable price increase.
In the process of finding 300 beef jerky makers for the 2022 and 2023 Beef Jerky Price Updates, we started noting what jerky makers also sell biltong. All jerky makers in this price update sell biltong in bags of 2 to 4 ounces. Since 2019, the price of biltong has increased a hefty $1.20 an ounce of biltong.
