It took just a little over 6 years to celebrate creating 800 Jerky Tags here at www.jerkyingredients.com. For the record there are 63 jerky categories created now, where WordPress has a limit of around 100 categories. As a basic description, a Jerky Tag is descriptive, and a Jerky Category is generalized. Jerky tags are unlimited in the popular web content management system; WordPress.
According to Google Analytics, the 8th most visited page on our jerky review web site is the Jerky Tags/Categories page from January 2014 – January 2020.

800 Jerky Tags is a large number, where you need to make sense out of it. This Jerky Tags/Categories page was created in some credit to get rid of those ugly, annoying, and confusing looking ‘tag clouds‘. Using the programming language PHP and the database MySQL inside WordPress, I can neatly organize the jerky tags and jerky categories under each jerky review with a little bit of creative computer programming.
Speaking of a MySQL database… The Jerky Ingredients web site has now grown to an impressive 15 different database tables in the MySQL database to document all things jerky. That was not ever expected. Very Cool!
For the record. Apart from Stéphane and Paul, these reviews are still written in HTML since the beginning, and always will be.

To date (January 13/2020), we have reviewed jerky from 40 states in the U.S.A. Eventually, we want to review jerky brands from all 50 states in the U.S.A. Adding a new U.S.A. state normally requires creating Jerky Brand State and Jerky Distributor State tags.
The 10 remaining U.S.A. states jerky brand reviews missing to date are Alabama, Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, New Hampshire, North Dakota, and Wyoming as a stated goal to review.

We here at Jerky Ingredients have the great fortune of currently having over a dozen jerky makers waiting to have their jerky reviewed. In early 2019, we did move from publishing three reviews a week down to two jerky reviews. Occasionally, still three jerky reviews are published a week around the holidays, and special circumstances.
