Five years later and plenty of jerky to review. Multiple jerky makers have
expressed interest but they are in the jerky queue. As mentioned before, jerky reviews are a marathon, not a sprint. The popularity of jerky just seems to increase more and more each year worldwide. Our Starting a Jerky Business is still the number one visited page for five consecutive years, where there is valuable information in the comments section.
We made progress in 2018 closing down on some of our goals. One of those goals is to review jerky from all 50 states in the United States of America. As of today, there are 10 states remaining for us to review: Alabama, Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Kentucky, Maine, Mississippi, New Hampshire, North Dakota, and Wyoming.
Another goal is to review jerky makers from all 10 Canadian provinces. Soon we will publish a jerky review from a jerky maker in Manitoba. That leaves only 3 maritime provinces in Canada left to review: Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and Prince Edward Island.
Our jerky taste reviews are evolving. Stephane’s taste reviews continues to get great feedback from jerky makers with his wit, passion, and charm. Stephane now has 115 jerky taste reviews to date under his belt to date. Paul made great strides in 2018 with his taste reviews, being inspired by Stephane’s taste reviews. Paul’s creativity and eloquence continues to impress.
Some milestones that we aim to celebrate in 2019 are 700 jerky reviews published, 500 jerky bags submitted for review, 20 different types of jerky reviewed, 1,300 jerky bags accumulated, $6000 of jerky reviewed, and possibly 500 jerky flavor names. Tracking all of these details is made possible by putting all of this jerky information into a MySQL database, and extracted using the programming language PHP inside HTML.
We are proud of offering great exposure, giving the opportunity to get each and every jerky brand known to the market and community in this probably 3 Billion Dollars annual sales jerky industry. The jerky industry has a broad presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. As a general rule, jerky makers with high social media activity have good to great tasting jerky.
