It took eighteen years, from 2007, to accumulate 500 jerky shrine brands. Back then, I was not even sure 500 jerky brands existed. In the 2025 Beef Jerky Update, I found 410 USA jerky brands whose products are available for purchase online. I would estimate that there are at least 700 jerky brands, including all farms, ranches, small jerky brands, stores, smokehouses, and butchers in the USA.
The Jerky Shrine debuted in 2019. There are over 100 jerky brands on display, with plenty more jerky paraphernalia to be displayed yet from our trip to California & Las Vegas in May 2025. I started collecting jerky bags in 2007 to give myself ideas on what ingredients to use in my homemade jerky. That turned out to be an exercise on what ingredients not to use. Back then, the jerky industry as a whole generally had unhealthy ingredient lists. To the credit of the jerky industry, the ingredient lists have been cleaned up considerably.

Almost regardless of the type of jerky paraphernalia, it will be welcomed into the Jerky Shrine. The most noticeable exception to not being displayed in the Jerky Shrine is that we must have tried the jerky brand.
