Description: Carbohydrates derived from the partial hydrolysis of starch (e.g. rice, corn, potato). A white powder used as a thickener, filler and heavily processed. It’s slightly sweet and generally used as a sugar substitute in the food industry being relatively inexpensive, and improves the food texture.
