After almost four years, $4,000 of jerky has been reviewed. That would work out to around $1,000 of jerky reviewed per year. In total, it took 575 bags of jerky to reach $4,000. That would work out to an average price of $6.95 per jerky bag.
For example, if a jerky maker sent us two 3oz bags of the same flavor, it would only count as one bag. If a jerky maker sent us a 1oz and 3oz bag of the same flavor, it would qualify as two bags. Each of the 575 bags reviewed to date are unique in some way or another.
Part of the purpose of this jerky review web site is to document the evolution of jerky makers since 2007. Our social media (Facebook/Twitter/Instagram) “Blast from the Past” series with jerky bags purchased between 2007 and 2014 performs well on social media.
Below are some various statistics on what it took to review $4,000 worth of jerky. As always, a big shout out to jerky makers who have submitted their jerky for review.
