In ways it seems like yesterday that the world’s first Jerky Shrine debuted. Today, we are celebrating the one year anniversary of the Jerky Shrine. The Jerky Shrine has been very well-received, even more so than I had anticipated. What started out with the two Jerky Shrine cork boards, which started filling out fast facilitating a need to create a Jerky Shrine Wall plastered in cork board. Not to mention the ever evolving Jerky Shrine Closet.
In 2019, we hit the milestones of having 300 jerky brands inside the Jerky Shrine, and over 1,300 jerky bags. Currently, there are 63 jerky brands on display in the Jerky Shrine.

In 2019, we made a decision to cut down the jerky reviews from on average three jerky reviews a week down to two jerky reviews a week. This had a bigger impact than expected. Historically, we had staggered jerky reviews for jerky makers on average every 3 ½ weeks. That jumped to a little over 6 weeks after moving down to two reviews a week.
We recognize this is not an ideal situation, but it is what it is. The demand remains strong for our jerky reviews over six years later. This also impacted the Jerky Shrine, where we could only accept jerky submissions from so many jerky makers in 2019, and therefore less jerky paraphernalia donated to the Jerky Shrine. No hurries, Rome wasn’t built in a day.
While receiving a jerky submission is always exciting, it is all that much more exciting in anticipation on seeing what jerky paraphernalia is also included with the jerky itself for the JERKY SHRINE.
Almost regardless of the type of jerky paraphernalia, it will be welcomed into the JERKY SHRINE. The most noticeable exception to not being displayed in the JERKY SHRINE is that we must have tried the jerky brand jerky. Other exceptions are invoices with personal notes, handwritten letters, and typed letters, where these non-displayable items will be stored in binders inside the JERKY SHRINE. 39 binders as of today and counting.

PICTURE #1 is the entrance to the Jerky Shrine. I have some ideas on what I want to do with the Jerky Shrine entrance but nothing has materialized yet, where it needs cooperation from certain jerky makers that I have not approached.
PICTURE #2 is the Jerky Shrine Photography Table for taking pictures of jerky bags and jerky strips. Blank white paper is needed to make sure that oily and greasy jerky strips do not smear the photography kit. Sometimes double sided paper.

PICTURE #6 is the Jerky Shrine Closet. More or less jerky paraphernalia that do not fit nicely on cork board will be added to the Jerky Shrine Closet. The top left shelf is all of the jerky not reviewed yet. On the floor are binders containing the jerky bag collection.

We are proud of offering great exposure, giving the opportunity to get each and every jerky brand known to the market and community in this probably 3 Billion Dollars annual sales jerky industry.
