Note: A new update has been published with our April 2022 One Pound Beef Jerky Price Ranges, where the price of beef jerky went up $5 per pound.
A user comment on our Jerky Price Range (July 2017) post prompted me to do some research. The comment posted was a question asking how much one pound of beef jerky should cost. Well, surprisingly, not all that many jerky makers even sell their jerky in a 1 pound/16 ounces quantity. Especially puzzling in lieu of COVID-19.
Based on twelve different jerky makers, the results were all over the map, ranging from $16 – $42. Of course Jack Link’s being the cheapest, and some smaller craft jerky companies being the most expensive.
Here is a list of those twelve jerky makers:
| ONE POUND BEEF JERKY (APRIL 15/2020) | |
| Get Hooked Beef Jerky | $42.00 |
| Shiner’s Stash | $40.00 |
| House of Jerky | $39.99 |
| Beefy Boys | $36.26 |
| Ray’s Own Brand | $33.00 |
| B.U.L.K Beef Jerky | $32.00 |
| Old Santa Fey Trail Beef Jerky | $32.00 |
| Crazy Horse Jerky | $31.99 |
| Rosie’s Vermont Beef Jerky | $25.00 |
| People’s Choice Beef Jerky | $23.00 |
| Bronco Billy’s Beef Jerky | $21.99 |
| Jack Link’s | $15.99 |
Based on these prices, we feel that these are the appropriate price ranges for a one pound (16oz) bag or bags of beef jerky as of April 15/2020:
One Pound Beef Jerky price ranges as of April 2020
| Cheap Price | $25.00 per 16 ounces and under |

| Expensive Price | $35.01 per 16 ounces and over |
