Double Bogey Beef Jerky is a brand rooted in a love for golf and a passion for high-quality snacks. The name and logo hold a unique significance: a double bogey score is marked with two squares around the number in golf, a nod to the founder’s love for the sport. Combining his passion for the game with the enjoyment of snacking on jerky during rounds of golf, the brand was born to bring flavorful, handcrafted beef jerky to the forefront. Crafted with care and an adventurous spirit, Double Bogey Beef Jerky is perfect for golfers, outdoor enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a snack that hits the mark every time—making “every bite a hole-in-one.”
The journey of Double Bogey Beef Jerky began humbly with Zach, the founder, crafting small batches of jerky at home. He sourced his top round beef from the grocery store on the navy base where he works, initially making just a pound or two each month for personal enjoyment. Sharing his jerky with coworkers brought rave reviews and the frequent encouragement: “You should sell this.” Inspired by the feedback, Zach began selling his jerky in sandwich bags, and what started as small batches of 10 bags quickly grew into producing around 100 bags per run. This Double Bogey Beef Jerky brand is distributed under the same name as Double Bogey Beef Jerky, and it is located in Jacksonville, Florida.
The first review on Double Bogey Beef Jerky will focus on a 4 ounce/113 gram bag of Spicy flavored beef jerky. This jerky was kindly submitted for review by AWOC(NAC/AW) Zachary Haney, United States Navy.

DOUBLE BOGEY BEEF JERKY – SPICY BEEF JERKY
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag I smell vinegar. The jerky consists of three strips, all uniform in size and sliced to a medium thickness. The jerky is somewhat rigid and dry, similar to what our forefathers intended. There is no oily residue left on your fingers.
When I bite into the jerky I am met with salt, at a medium level, pepper, also at a medium level, sweetness, at a mild level (thankfully), along with mild garlic and onion. The heat is very noticeable, as advertised, and does a fantastic job of augmenting the flavor of this jerky.
I get the golfing euphemism with the “Double Bogey”, but I fail to see what relevance it has with the actual flavor of the jerky.
This jerky is very tasty, but golf has nothing to do with it. It is very flavorful, and I can find no plausible reason to award it anything less than a 10/10.
Here is what Mark had to say about this Spicy beef jerky flavor from Double Bogey Beef Jerky: “Thanks Paul for the complimentary taste review. I 100% agree with everything stated except the sweetness being at a mild level, which is almost non-existent. The flavor profile comes across as a classic tasting original flavor, but the heat enhances the flavor greatly. As Paul mentioned, the heat is at a good level without going overboard. The heat would rate around 2 out of 5 on a heat scale.”
“With these strips being sliced relatively thick, you feel that you are eating a strip of steak. The natural flavor of beef is at a good level, enhanced with no sweetness drowning out the natural flavor of beef. Perhaps best of all, this jerky tastes like homemade jerky with no hint whatsoever of being big brand jerky. A slam dunk unanimous Excellent (10/10) taste rating will be awarded. Keep it up Zach. Two big thumbs up!!👍👍
This 4 ounce/113 gram bag of jerky sells online for $10.00. That works out to $2.50 an ounce, which rates as a cheap price.

Bag Review
This paper bag colored resealable plastic bag has a label affixed to the front and nothing on the back. A small red sticker is displayed, indicating that this is their Spicy beef jerky flavor. The Double Bogey Beef Jerky logo has squares to illustrate a double bogey on a golf scorecard with a cow in the middle.
There are no slogans or facts printed on this bag.
There are too many missing bag categories to list all of them.
