This biltong price update is our fifth published post since 2022. As with all price updates, several biltong brands could no longer be tracked. The main reasons include the biltong maker going out of business, a biltong brand no longer selling biltong bags between 2 ounces and 4 ounces online, and a company may still be in business but stopped selling biltong.
It is a shame that most people in North America have no clue what biltong is. Biltong has traditional South African roots and is air dried meat that still has the enzymes intact. Vinegar is a staple, and often coriander, which arguably tastes better than jerky. In the 2025 Biltong Price Update, 34 biltong brands were tracked. In this 2025 Biltong Price Update, I managed to find 30 biltong brands.
The first 10 biltong makers represent the cheap price range, the next 10 represent the average price range, and the last 10 represent the expensive price range. The price of biltong increased 27 cents per ounce in 2026, with the cheap price range being decreased by 5 cents.
