BeefCake Jerky Co. is a bold and rapidly growing brand founded by Andrew Flair on May 1st, 2023. The brand was to bring a thick and TENDER cut jerky that is naturally smoked, similar to what you can make at home, to the market. When developing their jerky, they noticed only a few brands sold pork jerky. So, they did some in-house research & development and developed what they believe is the best quality and flavors of pork and beef jerky on the market.
Since launching over years ago, they have produced eight jerky flavors. Every new flavor of jerky they release on their website sells out within hours and sometimes minutes because of the loyal consumer base they have formed around BeefCake Jerky Co. They have sold over a million bags of beef and pork jerky on their website and are in over 500 convenience and grocery stores in the US. What sets them apart from other jerky companies is their Pork Jerky and bold flavors! This BeefCake Jerky Co. brand is distributed under the same name as BeefCake Jerky Co., and it is located in Omaha, Nebraska.
The first review on BeefCake Jerky Co. will focus on a 2.7 ounce/77 gram bag of their Hot & Spicy flavored beef jerky. This flavor is described as being the spiciest in their lineup of flavors. The jerky was kindly submitted for review by Customer Support/Influencer Outreach, Dustin Hunt.
Ingredient Review
Ingredients: Beef, Water, Brown Sugar, Honey, Contains 2% or Less of the Following: Salt, Natural Spices, Natural Flavorings, Cultured Celery Powder.
This beef used is not guaranteed to be free of growth hormones or additional antibiotics. Also, the beef is not guaranteed to have at least partial free range access to graze on grass. As a result, the highest ingredient rating that can be awarded is a Good (8/10) rating.
The liquid marinade used here is comprised of just water and honey.
The only healthy ingredients added are natural spices.
The sugar is very high at 8 grams of sugar per 28 grams of jerky to lose a rating. Our preference is 4 grams of sugar or under for a hot based flavor, as we have here. The salt level is high at 600mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky to lose another rating. Our preference is 350mg of salt or less per 28 grams of jerky.
This jerky does qualify to have no sodium nitrite or any other similar unhealthy preservatives. Instead, the main preservative used is salt and cultured celery powder to a lesser extent. Admirably, there is no MSG added.

BEEFCAKE JERKY CO. – HOT & SPICY BEEF JERKY
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag I smell a juice, possibly pineapple juice? The pieces are primarily medium in size, and they are sliced to a medium thickness. There is one piece of fat mainly, which is usually a good thing, but this particular fat is unchewable, more like gristle. Outside of that piece, the jerky is chewable and rather tasty.
I taste salt at a decent level, mild sweetness, mild pepper and garlic, and the kick of the hot & spicy flavor. It is spicy but not crazy spicy, it is a very favorable zest. I am very much enjoying this flavor, as it is hitting all the right notes. And therefore, I can confidently award a 10/10.
Here is what Mark had to say about this Hot & Spicy beef jerky flavor from BeefCake Jerky Co.: “Thanks Paul for the positive taste review. I mostly agree with everything stated. I am unsure what juice Paul was smelling as no juice is used. As Paul stated, the heat level is by no means strong but noticeable enough to be enjoyable. The heat level would rate a 2 out of 5 on the heat scale.”
“There is a sweetness present, but it is by no means at an offensive level. As advertised, these strips have a tender texture but are tough enough not to qualify as soft & tender. The overall taste profile is not all that complex but works well, as no flavor stands out other than the heat. My one knock is that the natural beef flavor has a slightly processed taste, but by no means is that overly distracting. While this flavor is very enjoyable, I could also add that there is a lack of ‘wow’ factor. With Paul at a 10 and myself at an 8, a Very Good (9/10) taste rating will be awarded.”
This 2.7 ounce/77 gram bag of jerky sells online for $8.99. That works out to $3.33 an ounce, which rates as an average price.

Bag Review
This black, resealable plastic bag has everything imprinted on the ga, both on the front and the back. The logo of the BeefCake Jerky Co. has a bull’s head.
Some slogans printed could be “Real Jerky For Real Men” and “No Bullsh*t”. Some facts printed are “Premium Jerky”, “10g Protein”, “90 Calories”, “No Nitrates or Nitrites Added”.
The only missing bag category is the distributor address details. A QR code is displayed on the back. You are encouraged to follow BeefCake Jerky Co. on Instagram and Facebook. A good blurb about this jerky is printed on the back.
