The beef used is not guaranteed to be free of growth hormones or additional antibiotics. Also, the beef is not guaranteed to have at least partial free range access to graze on grass. As a result, the highest ingredient rating that can be awarded is a Good (8/10) rating.
The liquid marinade is comprised of a decent soy sauce, very healthy distilled vinegar, healthy wine, water, and liquid smoke flavor. Wine offers healthy benefits if consumed in moderation.
The vegetable trifecta is achieved with super foods ginger, garlic, and onion powder used here. It is disappointing to see that cornstarch is used, where corn based products have no business being in jerky.
New Mexico grown green chiles are healthy if eaten in moderation, where hot peppers flush toxins out of the body.

This jerky does qualify to have no sodium nitrite, or any other similar unhealthy preservatives. Instead, the main preservative used is salt. Admirably, there is no MSG added.

These strips of jerky are medium to large in size, and sliced thin. The texture is dry to the point where it is slightly crunchy, which is a more popular preference in Western USA. There are no signs of fat, and handling this jerky leaves no oily residue on your fingers.
No particular taste really jumps out at first, just an interesting blend of flavors. There is not really a classic tasting teriyaki flavor here, but it is very flavorful nonetheless. A light level of soy is present. With only a light level of sweetness, there is a good deal of natural beef flavor.
The spicy green chile heat level slowly increases as you consume more strips. On a heat scale, it would rate a 2 out of 4, and it tastes great. Other flavors that blend in well are vinegar, black pepper, and garlic. The salt level is borderline high. Overall, a very well balanced flavor between the sweetness, spiciness, and acidity.
A 4 ounce/113 gram bag sells online for $9.50. That works out to $2.38 an ounce, which rates as a borderline expensive price. The price gets cheaper if you order large quantities. This spicy teriyaki green flavor is certainly recommended as worthwhile if you enjoy a crunchy dry texture, and a decent level of mild spiciness.
