The G.O.A.T. Beef Jerky Company began as a hobby (Greatest of All-Time). The founder, J.R. Towe, received a dehydrator for Christmas and started experimenting with different jerky recipes until he perfected the texture and flavor. After a few years, J.R. decided to take his taste tests one step further, so he ordered Amazon packaging. Very proud of the new look, he sent a sample to an old friend, which received very positive feedback.
The thought of J.R.s beef jerky being available for everyone to enjoy was an exciting prospect. But soon enough, feelings of doubt and failure took over, causing J.R. to dismiss the idea altogether. After all, he had a great job with a great company – a place he’d worked for nearly 20 years – and he knew to build a business from the ground up would be a massive undertaking for one person.
One day, a friend asked him why he wasn’t selling his jerky. After explaining everything, it would take to make it work – and everything that could go wrong – his friend asked, “But what if it could work?” That’s when J.R. realized he’d given up before he even started. The very next day J.R. began working on a plan to build a jerky company.
In December 2018, The G.O.A.T. Beef Jerky Company was launched. The G.O.A.T. Beef Jerky Company bag designs have been updated, and Korean BBQ, Citrus Teriyaki, and Whiskey Rebellion beef jerky flavors were introduced. This The G.O.A.T. Beef Jerky Company is distributed under the same of The G.O.A.T. Beef Jerky Company, and it is located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
The next review on The G.O.A.T. Beef Jerky Company will focus on a 2.5 ounce/71 gram bag of their hot flavored beef jerky. We previously reviewed this flavor, where the bag design has since changed. This flavor is described as using the same great recipe as their original flavor but loaded with the tangy heat of wasabi and cayenne pepper. The jerky was kindly submitted for review by the founder, J.R. Towe.

The liquid marinade consists of a decent soy sauce and a respected brand of Worcestershire sauce.

The sugar level is adequate at 2 grams of sugar per 28 grams of jerky. The salt level is also adequate at 240mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky.
Commendably, this jerky has no sodium nitrite added or any other similar unhealthy preservative. Instead, salt is the main preservative used. With further kudos to The G.O.A.T. Beef Jerky Company, this jerky qualifies to have no MSG added.

THE G.O.A.T BEEF JERKY COMPANY – HOT BEEF JERKY REVIEW #2
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag, I smell juice, possibly pineapple juice. The jerky is soft and tender to the touch, and it is sliced medium to long in size.
The jerky is soft and chewable in texture, and the flavor has yet to emerge. As I consume more of the jerky, I experience some of the spice, the salt, pepper, garlic, and natural beef to round out the flavors.
Holy Carumba, we have a myriad of spectacular flavors milling about in this fantastic flavor of jerky, from a sour, spicy tang to an addictive overall treat. This jerky makes my loins tremble and quiver. I am gyrating and about to explode in a sea of jerky heaven. G.O.A.T., you guys have perfected the jerky tradition. This much flavor in one bag of jerky should be punishable by law. Cuff me and throw me in jerky prison, and toss away the key, I’m a G.O.A.T. disciple. ‘Hello, my name is Paul, and I’m a G.O.A.T. hot beef jerky addict…’
Gentlemen, we have a gem here, an ‘undisputed’ 10/10. A very enthusiastic two thumbs up!!👍👍
Here is what Mark had to say about this hot beef jerky flavor from The G.O.A.T. Beef Jerky Company: “Thanks Paul for the enthusiastic taste review. I too loved this flavor. While advertised as being tangy tasting, I found the taste comes across as sour tasting. The tanginess/sourness/spiciness from the wasabi is what puts this flavor over the top along with a well-balanced taste profile. Not overly spicy but hot enough to satisfy your taste buds in wasabi ways. Either way, tangy or sour tasting, this is an addictive treat leaving you wanting more.”
A 2.75 ounce/77 gram bag sells online for $7.99. That works out to $3.20 an ounce, which rates at an expensive price.

Bag Review
This black plastic resealable bag has everything imprinted on the jerky bag itself, both on the front and back. There is a high resolution-picture on the front of beef jerky displaying strips of jerky, wasabi, garlic, soy sauce, and hot pepper.
Some slogans printed on this bag are “The Greatest of All Time”, and “There Can Only Be One G.O.A.T.” A fact displayed is “Handcrafted”.
The only missing bag category is a transparent window to view the actual jerky to lose a rating. Printed on the bag is a great blurb about The G.O.A.T. Beef Jerky Company. The hashtag #showusyourgoat is displayed along with Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter images.
