Boozy Jerky is a distinctive beef jerky brand that artfully combines tender cuts of meat with the rich flavors of craft beer and spirits. Founded in 2018 by two seasoned entrepreneurs with backgrounds in private label jerky production for wineries and breweries, as well as direct-to-consumer jerky subscriptions, the company set out to create a product that stands apart from traditional offerings. Rejecting the idea of producing another generic jerky, they focused on innovation, infusing their products with unique alcoholic flavors to enhance the snacking experience.
Each variety of Boozy Jerky is marinated for 24 to 48 hours in carefully selected craft beers or spirits, such as pilsners, IPAs, lagers, or bourbon, and then seasoned with complementary spices. This meticulous process results in jerky that is not only flavorful but also tender and easy to chew. Notably, while real alcohol is used in the marination process, the final product contains no residual alcohol, making it safe for all ages. The jerky is also gluten-free, high in protein, and suitable for various dietary preferences, including keto and paleo diets.
Boozy Jerky delivers a premium product that appeals to both meat snack enthusiasts and craft beverage aficionados by focusing on small-batch production and using locally sourced craft beers. Their commitment to quality and innovation has positioned them as a unique player in the meat snack industry. This Boozy Jerky brand is distributed under the name Boozy Jerky, LLC, and it is located in Otsego, Minnesota. The jerky is manufactured by Boyd Specialties, located in Colton, California.

Ingredient Review
Ingredients: Beef, Brown Sugar, Tamari Sauce (Water, Soybeans, Salt, Sugar), F5 IPA Beer, Rice Vinegar (Rice Vinegar, Invert Sugar, Salt, Diluted with Water to 4% Acidity), Vegetable Oil (Contains Soy), Granulated Garlic, Granulated Onion, Ginger, Ground Pepper, All Spice. Allergen Warnings: Soy
The cut of beef brisket used is not guaranteed to be free of growth hormones or additional antibiotics. Also, the beef is not guaranteed to have at least partial free range access to graze on grass. As a result, the highest ingredient rating that can be awarded is a Good (8/10) rating.
The liquid marinade used here is comprised of a decent brand of tamari soy sauce, not so healthy F5 IPA beer, healthy rice vinegar, and not so healthy vegetable oil.
Some healthy ingredients added are granulated garlic, granulated onion, ginger, black pepper, and allspice.
The sugar level is acceptable at 3 grams of sugar per 28 grams. The salt level is very low at 85mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky.
This jerky does qualify to have no sodium nitrite or any other similar unhealthy preservatives. Instead, the main preservative used is salt. Admirably, there is no MSG added.

BOOZY JERKY – TERIYAKI TWISTED IPA BEEF JERKY
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag I smell strong teriyaki and vinegar, along with what I believe is pineapple juice. The jerky is like one gigantic never ending strip of jerky. The jerky is exceptionally soft and also quite moist, which is a big knock as far as I’m concerned. I prefer dry and rigid. However, this jerky deserves the same latitude as every other jerky.
When I bite into the jerky, I taste salt at a reasonable level, the sweetness is too intense, and the pepper and garlic are present but not very potent. It does resemble a teriyaki flavor, I may taste very slight IPA in the background, but it is by no means intense enough to label it as an IPA flavor. Overall, the jerky is decent, but decent typically intonates a 7/10, which this review is resembling, though I would be open to an 8/10 if you twisted my arm. Gentlemen?
Here is what Mark had to say about this Teriyaki Twister IPA brisket beef jerky flavor from Boozy Jerky “Thanks Paul for the candid taste review. A teriyaki flavor by nature is sweet, and the sweetness used here is at a reasonable level. I agree that this texture is soft and tender, being easy to chew, but not worthy of a rating deduction. I also agree that this flavor comes across as a classic tasing teriyaki flavor.”
“I too struggled to detect the IPA beer, which tends to happen with beer flavors, and India Pale Ale (IPA) happens to be my favorite type of beer. The overall taste profile is well balanced and features an interesting blend of spices, with the light flavor of ginger being a nice complement to the teriyaki aspect of this flavor. The natural beef flavor has no sign of tasting processed. This flavor is enjoyable even with the lack of IPA flavor. With Paul at an 8 rating and me at a 9 rating, a Very Good (9/10) taste rating will be awarded.”
This 1.5 ounce/43 gram bag of jerky sells online for $7.00. That works out to $4.67 an ounce, which rates as an expensive price.

Bag Review
This resealable plastic bag has everything imprinted both on the front and back. The logo of the Boozy Jerky displays what could be construed as a drunk cow’s head. There is also a drunk looking cow. The bag features a high resolution picture on the back of an COOP Ale Works F5 IPA Beer. The front has an illustration of a glass of beer with foam overflowing and what appears to be a twister around it.
A slogan printed on this bag could be “The Original Booze Infused Beef Jerky”. Some facts printed are “Made with F5 IPA”, “Premium Beef”, “Cooked Tender”, “Oklahoma USA”, “Prepare to Pair”, Made in USA”, “Oklahoma USA”, “Limited Edition”, and “The PERFECT PAIRing”.
Some missing bag categories are a soy allergen alert and no transparent window to view the jerky. A great blurb is printed on the back about this flavor and jerky.
