The ham used is guaranteed to be free of growth hormones or additional antibiotics. As a result, the highest ingredient rating that can be awarded is a Very Good (9/10) rating.
The liquid marinade is comprised of only organic maple syrup and healthy non-GMO pineapple juice.
There are no healthy ingredients added.
The sugar level is acceptable at 2 grams of sugar per 30 grams of jerky to lose a rating. The salt level is slightly high at 360mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky. However, the salt level is ignored because healthy, minimally processed sea salt is used.

When I open the bag I smell nothing, but my nose is a bit stuffy, so that may be why. The jerky is medium in both size and thickness. The jerky is hard and dry, just as our forefathers intended.
When I bite into the jerky, I taste light salt, light sweet, medium pepper, slight garlic, and I do pick up on the ham flavor, but it is not bold. I absolutely LOVE the texture, and it is massaging my palette quite well. I also taste some pineapple, which adds a sweet flavor.
I am very much enjoying this flavor, because I love ham and enjoy pineapple. It tastes similar to an Original flavor in many ways. Just slightly different because of the ham and pineapple. A sumptuous treat well deserving of a 10/10. Gentlemen?

There is no garlic or black pepper added. This Pineapple flavor indeed comes across as an Original flavor. By far the star of the show is the delicious natural ham flavor that comes out in spades. The pineapple flavor is present and subtle, but by no means overwhelming.
“I too cannot identify a single issue with this ham jerky, other than arguably the pineapple taste could be at a stronger level. In the background, there is a light smoked flavor. As Paul mentioned, the tough texture is fantastic, but not so tough that it’s too tough for your teeth. The overall taste profile is rather simple but effective. My portion was gone in no time and was a pleasure to consume. A no doubter, unanimous Excellent (10/10) taste rating will be awarded. A very enthusiastic two thumbs up!!👍👍”
