The liquid marinade is comprised of just healthy lemon juice.

TADEO’S – CHILE BEEF JERKY
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag I smell next to nothing. The jerky is dry and rigid, just as our forefathers intended, and it is large in size and sliced rather thin. It is not far from being crispy.
When I bite into the jerky I immediately taste a high amount of salt, which I personally love, mild to no sweet. I also taste pepper, slight garlic, and I definitely taste lemon.
This flavor of jerky is exceptionally tasty, and I am loving it, I’m not sure what “carne seca” means, but I like the flavor of it, whatever that might be.
I have no qualms with this flavor of jerky, I do indeed very much enjoy the flavor, it is resonating very well with my palette. A no-brainer 10/10.
Here is what Mark had to say about this Chile beef jerky flavor from Tadeo’s: “Thanks Paul for the positive taste review. I mistakenly told Paul that this flavor was carne seca instead of chile. I agree with everything that Paul stated, where there is not much more to add. True in that this texture is borderline near crunchy. It is also true that there is minimal sweetness. I was a bit surprised to hear Paul mention the lemon flavor, which is absolutely true.”
“My only difference is that I was not blown away with flavor. It is good to very good, but nothing that really makes it stand out. With Paul at a 10 rating and myself at a 9 rating, an Excellent (10/10) taste rating will be awarded.”
This 2 ounce/57 gram bag of jerky sells for $7.99, which equates to $4.00 an ounce. That rates as an expensive price.

Bag Review
This resealable plastic bag has a label affixed to the front and nothing on the back. The label displays a Mexican hat, jerky strips, chili peppers, a rope, and a bowl of something with a wood background.
There are no slogans printed on this bag. Some facts printed are “Mexican Style” and “Carne Seca”.
Some missing bag categories are a blurb about Tadeo’s or this flavor and a company website.
