It took over eleven years to celebrate, reviewing 700 jerky flavor names to date. That is some serious creativity from the jerky makers. A jerky flavor can come under many different names. For example, Sweet & Spicy can be Sweet & Hot, Sweet ‘n Hot, Hot and Sweet, Hot ‘n Sweet, Hot & Sweet, Sweet and Spicy, Spicy and Sweet, Sweet Hot, Sweet and Zesty, etc. For each jerky review, we tag the flavor in a general category, where we will have only one flavor tag for the Sweet & Spicy flavor.
A jerky review flavor can be tagged in multiple tags. For example, even though it is a single flavor, a Mango Habanero flavor will be captured in both the Mango and Habanero flavor tags.
As this jerky review website continues to mature, we are now up to 74 (June 10/2025 – 74) unique flavor categories. As a general rule, a new flavor category is created when you have at least two or more jerky bags reviewed on the same flavor.
