Double Bogey Beef Jerky is a brand rooted in a love for golf and a passion for high-quality snacks. The name and logo hold a unique significance: a double bogey score is marked with two squares around the number in golf, a nod to the founder’s love for the sport. Combining his passion for the game with the enjoyment of snacking on jerky during rounds of golf, the brand was born to bring flavorful, handcrafted beef jerky to the forefront. Crafted with care and an adventurous spirit, Double Bogey Beef Jerky is perfect for golfers, outdoor enthusiasts, or anyone looking for a snack that hits the mark every time—making “every bite a hole-in-one.”
The journey of Double Bogey Beef Jerky began humbly with Zach, the founder, crafting small batches of jerky at home. He sourced his top round beef from the grocery store on the navy base where he works, initially making just a pound or two each month for personal enjoyment. Sharing his jerky with coworkers brought rave reviews and the frequent encouragement: “You should sell this.” Inspired by the feedback, Zach began selling his jerky in sandwich bags, and what started as small batches of 10 bags quickly grew into producing around 100 bags per run. This Double Bogey Beef Jerky brand is distributed under the same name as Double Bogey Beef Jerky, and it is located in Jacksonville, Florida.
The next review on Double Bogey Beef Jerky will focus on a 4 ounce/113 gram bag of Chili Lime flavored beef jerky. This jerky was graciously submitted for review by AWOC(NAC/AW) Zachary Haney, United States Navy.

DOUBLE BOGEY BEEF JERKY – CHILI LIME BEEF JERKY
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag I smell light chili, but the lime smell is very prevalent. The pieces are cut medium in both size and thickness, bordering on thick. The jerky is dry and chewy, just as our forefathers intended. There is no oily residue left on your fingers.
When I bite into the jerky I taste salt at a decent level, next to no sweet, a good thing, possibly light garlic and onion, mild pepper, mild chili, but extreme lime. It is overpowering the other flavors. I mean, I am a fan of lime, but this may be a bit too disproportionate. Otherwise, this jerky is quite tasty, but it does not knock my socks off. Where I find the lime a bit too excessive, and the chili is not prevalent enough. Therefore, an 8/10 is my assessment.
Here is what Mark had to say about this Chili Lime beef jerky flavor from Double Bogey Beef Jerky: “Thanks Paul for the candid taste review. We do not quite see eye to eye in this review. The lime flavor is at a strong level, but it’s questionable if it’s too overpowering for a flavor named Chili Lime. As a big fan of lime also, and a fan of bold flavors, I can say there arguably can be no limit on how strong the lime flavor comes across. Paul’s claim that the chili pepper is not hot enough does have merit. On a heat scale, the heat does not surpass a 1 out of 4 on the heat scale. “
“The natural beef flavor is at a good level. As Paul stated, these strips are sliced borderline thick, which gives your teeth a workout but within reason. What I really appreciate about this flavor is that it comes across as homemade jerky with no hint of big brand jerky whatsoever. The lime flavor dominates the overall taste profile but has a pleasant blend of flavors in the background. With Paul at an 8 and myself at a 9, a Very Good (9/10) taste rating will be awarded.”
This 4 ounce/113 gram bag of jerky sells online for $10.00. That works out to $2.50 an ounce, which rates as a cheap price.

This paper bag colored resealable plastic bag has a label affixed to the front and nothing on the back. A small green sticker is displayed, indicating that this is their Chili Lime beef jerky flavor. The Double Bogey Beef Jerky logo has squares to illustrate a double bogey on a golf scorecard with a cow in the middle.
There are no slogans or facts printed on this bag.
There are too many missing bag categories to list all of them.
