Born from over 25 years of experience in the meat industry, Carnivore Crisps is more than a snack, it’s a movement. Inspired by the bold flavors and traditions of Brazilian Gaucho grilling, Hans Hippert, the founder, set out to create a clean, protein rich snack that delivers uncompromising taste and nutrition. Surrounded by high performing friends who value quality and simplicity, Hans discovered the transformative power of rock salt on premium cuts of meat. That spark led to a partnership with Redmon Real Salt, the gold standard for keto and carnivore lifestyles, and the creation of a product that honors ancestral eating with modern convenience.
From late night jerky experiments to a full fledged butcher shop, Carnivore Crisps evolved into a line of ultra clean, portable meat snacks made from whole muscle cuts, healthy fats, and nothing else. No fillers. No shortcuts. Just pure, grass fed and free range protein seasoned to perfection. Every crisp is a testament to craftsmanship, nutritional integrity, and the relentless pursuit of flavor. Whether you’re fueling a workout, embracing a low carb lifestyle, or simply craving something real, Carnivore Crisps delivers a snack that’s as honest as it is delicious.
Hans has been making jerky for over 32 years and absolutely loves what he does. Carnivore Crisps was inspired by Han’s wife, Anya, who has been on a Keto diet since the day he met her. While she enjoyed their traditional jerky, she was always mindful of carbs, her dietary needs prompted Hans to create sugar free flavors, which ultimately led to Carnivore Crisps. Since 2019, they have been refining and expanding their offerings, driven by a passion for innovation and quality. They heard incredible stories from customers who overcame food allergies, created lasting memories, or reached fitness goals with their products. It’s humbling and motivating, and they take pride in being part of their journey. This Carnivore Crisps brand is distributed under the same name as Carnivore Crisps, and it is located in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The first review on Carnivore Crisps will focus on a 3.75 ounce/106 gram bag of their Original flavored grass fed beef brisket crisps. This flavor is described as creating a buttery, crispy, irresistible flavor in every bite. The bag was purchased at Jojo’s Jerky in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ingredient Review
Ingredients: Grass Fed Beef Brisket, Purified Water, Redmond Real Salt.
100% grass-fed beef is used here, just the way nature intended. These cattle are raised ethically, meaning they are not fed growth hormones or additional antibiotics. There is also some free range access for the cattle to roam about. As a result, the ingredient rating starts at Excellent (10/10).
The liquid marinade is comprised of only purified water.
The sugar level is perfect at 0 grams of sugar per 28 grams of jerky. The salt level is fairly low at 180mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky.
This jerky does qualify to have no sodium nitrite or any other similar unhealthy preservatives. Instead, the main preservative used is well-respected Redmond real salt. Admirably, there is no MSG added.

CARNIVORE CRISPS – ORIGINAL GRASS FED BEEF BRISKET CRISPS
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag I smell almost nothing. The pieces are large and paper thin, and they are crunchy. There is noticeable fat on most of the pieces.
When I bite into the crisps, I taste salt at a high (but very enjoyable) level, with next to no sweetness, and natural beef.
These pieces of jerky are quite tasty, I am enjoying them very much. There actually is somewhat of a “Wow!!” factor, and it is d*mn tasty. A no-brainer 10/10. Gentlemen?
Written by guest jerky reviewer Stéphane Leclerc
This was a memorable experience. The texture of these thin, crispy strips is outstanding, and they carry deliciousness in spades. The beefy flavor is exquisite, while the seasoning and smokiness elevate this jerky to levels unknown to mankind. The flavor profile is simple, clean, and crisp, and I especially enjoyed the added boost of flavor from the fat marbling on some of the strips.
I can only find good things to say about this jerky, with no cons whatsoever. This gem is extremely addictive, and it only gets better and better with each bite. Sadly, I forgot the bag with a few pieces of jerky on the counter for final review, and my damn cats got to it before I did. These crisps are an easy 10/10 Taste Rating.
Here is what Mark had to say about this Original grass-fed beef brisket crisps flavor from Carnivore Crisps: “Thanks Paul and Stéphane for the positive taste reviews. I agree with everything stated. This flavor is the bomb. As advertised, Carnivore Crisps earns the crispy texture, our favorite beef jerky texture. There are liberal amounts of fat present, which accentuate the natural flavor of grass fed beef exponentially. The natural beef flavor has no hint of tasting processed and tastes the way high quality beef should taste. As advertised, these grass fed beef crisps do, to a certain extent, have a buttery flavor, our favorite word describing the taste of high quality beef.”
“The well respected cut of beef brisket is used, but you cannot tell with the crispy texture, which is known for absorbing the marinade. I disagree with Paul that the saltiness is at a high level, but it is certainly noticeable. As Stéphane stated, the taste profile is simple yet incredibly effective with only three ingredients used. This is the type of jerky that I could eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and not get bored. A slam dunk Excellent (10/10) taste rating will be awarded. Take a bow Carnivore Crisps, A very enthusiastic two thumbs up!!👍👍”
This 3.75 ounce/106 gram bag was purchased for $27.99, which works out to $7.46 an ounce. That rates as an expensive price.

Bag Review
This resealable plastic bag has labels affixed to both the front and back. The Carnivore Crisps logo depicts a mountain with clouds in the background. There is an illustration of a cow and all the various cuts of beef.
All bag categories are covered. On the back, there is a good blurb about different ways of consuming this jerky.
