This will be the second review on a Lawless Jerky 2 ounce/57 gram bag of their Sweet Sriracha flavored 100% grass-fed beef jerky. The jerky has since been reformulated, meaning the ingredient list has been tweaked, the manufacturing process changed, and a new bag design has been introduced. This jerky was kindly submitted by the Lawless Jerky Team.
Matt Tolnick, a former attorney, bravely left his law practice, and teamed up with Dan Kaplan to launch the Lawless Jerky brand name in 2013 using 100% grass-fed beef. In Matt’s words “he had the courage to run from the law..to make jerky!”. Lawless Jerky steadily grew over the next five years, reaching millions of dollars in sales. The Lawless Jerky brand name is distributed by Monogram Meat Snacks, LTD., and they are located in Memphis, Tennessee.

Ingredient Review
Ingredients: Grass-Fed Beef, Beef Broth, Sugar. Contains 2% or Less of Hot Sauce Powder (Hot Sauce [Red Peppers, Distilled Vinegar, Salt, Garlic Powder], Maltodextrin), Pineapple Juice Concentrate, Natural Flavors, Salt.
Lawless Jerky is guaranteed to use 100% grass-fed beef. As a result, the cattle are guaranteed to have free range access, and be ethically raised.

The liquid marinade is comprised entirely of healthy beef broth, which is bones boiled in water that contains many minerals, among other healthy things. The pineapple juice and hot sauce are in powdered form.
The sugar level is around 5 grams of sugar per 28 grams of jerky, which is our upper sugar limit for a sweet based flavor as we have here. The salt level is acceptable at around 335mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky.
This jerky does qualify to have no sodium nitrite used, or any other similar unhealthy preservatives. Instead, salt is the main preservative used. Admirably, this jerky qualifies to have no MSG added.

This Lawless Jerky Sweet Sriracha 100% Beef Jerky is fragrant, the sriracha and its nice beefy aroma wakes up all my senses. Lawless seems to always deliver bold and complex flavors with sublime textures and this is no exception. The quality of their product is unmistakable in every bite.
This is love at first bite! I am immediately tasting and discovering some wonderful flavors. As the name Sweet Sriracha suggests, it is just that! This meaty treat achieves a great balance between sweet and spicy with just a hint of acidity. The sweetness and the great flavor of Sriracha take center stage. This jerky is tasty and bold without destroying any taste buds in the process and yet, it packs a good kick. The Sriracha seasoning is visible as it is generously sprinkled over each piece and the spiciness is consistent at 2/5 on the heat scale. The sweet and spicy flavor is at the forefront without completely infringing on the beautiful 100% Grass Fed Natural Beef flavor. Some of the extra flavors are a slight hint of pepper, garlic and a touch of vinegar which balances and brightens these tastes. All of these beautiful flavors and seasoning come together in harmony. The flavor profile is well defined while it is developed with depth, complexity and a delightful richness in every bite.
These jerky morsels are mainly medium in size and the thickness ranges from medium to thick. Some may question this variation in thickness and I tend to favor it to a certain extent. I find it positively adds texture and taste to the experience. I certainly can’t find any fault with packing and delivering more great beef taste in each and every bite. The texture varies from soft and chewy to slightly less pliable. These strips have a pleasant chew and they leave no oily residue on the fingers. This texture has a pleasantly rustic and handcrafted feel to it and these subtle variants ultimately create a more interesting and fun experience.
Paul enthusiastically said: “I can find nothing wrong with this flavor of jerky, it comes across exactly as advertised (I’m not surprised, I remember us really enjoying Lawless’ jerky in the past), and I am rating this jerky as a 10/10.”
Indeed we knew, Lawless Craft Jerky has always met and exceeded our expectation thus far. This Lawless Jerky Sweet Sriracha 100% Beef Jerky is awesome in every way. The high quality of the product is undeniable and it comes through in every little bite. The care and attention to details were flagrant from the minute I picked up the bag to the very last bite.
Paul and I could not possibly find any reasonable fault with this delectable beef jerky and we enthusiastically awarded a Glorious 10/10 taste rating. Great job, two thumbs up, way up, Cheers!

Unusually, this bag opens vertically, as opposed to horizontally. Also unusual is that while this bag is made of plastic, it has a feel similar to paper or dull sandpaper. Everything is imprinted directly on this resealable bag, both on the front and back.
The Lawless Jerky slogan “A Braver Flavor” is displayed on the front, cleverly situated under “Tear Here For”. Another slogan printed is “America’s Craft Jerky Looks Forward To Meating You”.
Some facts printed on this bag are “23g Protein Per Serving”, “Handcrafted”, “100% Grass-Fed”, “All Natural”, “Gluten Free”, “Minimally Processed”, and “No Artificial Ingredients”.
