Ingredients: Wagyu Beef, Pasterurized Process Cheddar Cheese (Milk, Cream, Sodium Phosphate, Color Added, Salt, Sodium Alginate, Cheese Culture, Sorbic Acid, Enzymes, Natamycin), Jalapeno (Jalapeno Peppers, Water, Salt, Acetic Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Calcium Chloride), Sugar, Natural Flavorings, Salt, Sodium Citrate, Vinegar, Sodium Erythorbate, Sodium Nitrite, in a Beef Collagen Casing.
The beef used raised on local farms is certified Wagyu, which implies that the beef is guaranteed to use 100% grass-fed beef. Wagyu beef is a highly prized, premium beef known for its exceptional marbling, tenderness, and rich flavor. As a result, the cattle are guaranteed to have free range access and be ethically raised. Therefore, the ingredient rating starts at an Excellent (10/10) rating.
The only healthy ingredients added are jalapeno peppers. The vague term natural flavorings is listed, which can contain healthy and unhealthy ingredients.
The sugar level is great at 1 gram of sugar per 28 grams of beef bites. The salt level is high at 470mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky to lose a rating. Our preference is 350mg of salt or less per 28 grams of jerky.
This jerky does not qualify to have no sodium nitrite, as sodium nitrite is used outright, along with sodium erythorbate as preservatives. Admirably, there is no MSG added.

When I open the bag I smell natural beef, and not much else. The jerky (“bites”) are uniform in size and thickness. They all look like they were meat sticks before and cut into beef “bites”. There is no oily residue left on your fingers.
When I bite into the beef bites, I taste salt, more intense than usual, but still well within reason. I don’t really taste sweet, which is a good thing. I taste a decent level of pepper, mild garlic, and possibly onion. The jalapeño kick is quite evident. It does very well to positively augment the flavor, I am duly impressed. The heat kicks up as you consume more. This little “meat bites” treat is hitting on all the right notes, it is a delectable snack. I also notice the Wagyu beef flavor, where it is a cut above your regular beef.
I have to say, no qualms, only a solid jerky experience. I am very confident in giving these “bites” a solid 10/10. Gentlemen?

“The ‘snap’ to the texture of these beef bites is fantastic. There is a light flavor of smoke in the background that aids in rounding out this flavor. On a heat scale, the heat does not really exceed a 1 out of 4, or maybe a 2 out of 5. I cannot say enough good things about these Wagyu beef bites, which taste like more.
