An aerospace engineer by trade, John Denning started making biltong about three years ago in a small biltong box and had good feedback. Little Sutton Biltong Company advertises as using all 100% grass-fed beef with no artificial anything as only the very best ingredients are used, including the silverside cut of beef. John states that his biltong has been a challenge to make using no preservatives, but the result is well worth it.
Selling to friends and family on Facebook since 2017, John will soon be increasing production capacity to keep up with demand. John is pretty meticulous about quality, so he wouldn’t like to expand to a point where quality could be compromised, but that is going to change soon using some space-age tech in a drying room, but that is John’s secret😉. Little Sutton Biltong Company is distributed under the same name of Little Sutton Biltong Company, and it is located in Sutton, England.
The first review on Little Sutton Biltong Company will focus on a 4.2 ounce/120 gram bag of their original flavoured beef biltong. This flavour is described as being faithful to true biltong. The biltong was kindly submitted for review by the Founder and CEO, John Denning.
Ingredients: 100% Grass Fed Beef (220g of beef per 100g of finished product), Celtic Sea Salt, Brown Sugar, Black Pepper, Coriander, Artisan Malt Vinegar (BARLEY), Worcester Sauce (FISH) Allergen Warnings: Anchovies
The silverside cut of beef used is 100% grass-fed beef. As a result, the cattle are guaranteed to have free range access to roam about. The beef is guaranteed to have been raised ethically, meaning not administered growth hormones or additional antibiotics. As a result, the highest ingredient rating possible is Excellent (10/10)
This liquid marinade used here is comprised of an artisan malt vinegar from Cornwall and Worcester sauce.
There are healthy ingredients added, such as black pepper and coriander.
There is no nutrition facts table provided. As a result, the exact sugar and salt levels are unknown.
This biltong does qualify to have no sodium nitrite or any other similar unhealthy preservatives. Instead, french grey sea salt is the main preservative and artisan malt vinegar from Cornwall to a lesser extent. Admirably, this biltong qualifies to have no MSG added.

LITTLE SUTTON BILTONG COMPANY – ORIGINAL BEEF BILTONG
Written by guest biltong reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag, I smell what I believe to be coriander. The biltong strips are soft and dry, just like most other biltong we have tried before. This biltong leaves a very slight oily residue on your fingers.
The first flavours I encounter are salt, next to no sweet, garlic, coriander, and what I believe is a mustard flavour, but I could possibly be wrong.
Uh oh, Katy-bar-the-door, we have a monumental kick me in the backside, knock me on the head, punch me in the coconuts tape measure home run going on here.
Never mind the tea and crumpets, bullocks, grab me a pint of old speckled hen and biltong, I want to inject some of this ‘biltong heroin’ into my system, then I’ll ride the wave until I need another hit.
Little Sutton, you have outdone yourself. I cannot keep my grimy paws off of your addictive snack. All kidding aside, you have created ‘da bomb’. A no-brainer 10/10 in my opinion. Two thumbs way up!!!👍👍 Gentlemen?
Here is what Mark had to say about this original beef biltong flavour from Little Sutton Biltong Company: “Thanks Paul for the awesome taste review. Well said. I also was a bit surprised to learn that brown sugar was added to this biltong. Needless to say, I too was blown away by this flavour. There is a great ratio of fat on these strips of biltong that accentuates the natural beef flavour exponentially.”
“Faithful to a true biltong original flavor, the taste of delicious beef, coriander, salt, black pepper, and vinegar is prominent. The overall taste profile is beautiful with the added Worcester sauce. Pair this biltong with a pint of hobgoblin. Take a bow John. We predict a good future for you and Little Sutton Biltong Company. Two thumbs way up!!!👍👍”
This 4.2 ounce/120 gram bag of biltong sells for £5.00. That works out to an unbelievably low price of £1.19 an ounce, which rates at a cheap price.
