Branch Warren’s forefathers were cattlemen, and beef jerky was a staple of their existence. A century and a half later, he is still carrying on that tradition with time-honored recipes that they guarantee you will love. Branch was born in Texas and spent his early childhood on a cattle ranch. On that ranch is where he learned the value of hard work. He later moved to the Ft. Worth area, where he began bodybuilding, and ultimately became a world champion professional bodybuilder. During this time is when Branch learned the importance of having a high-quality protein food source that is hormone-free and all-natural.
Throughout his life Branch has loved jerky and wanted to own his own company. So after retiring from competitive bodybuilding Branch wished to pass on his healthy lifestyle and time-honored family recipes to you. Once you open a bag and take the first bite, they guarantee you will love the wickedly awesome flavor of Wicked Cutz. This Wicked Cutz jerky brand is distributed under the name of Wicked Cutz, and they are located in Southlake, Texas.

WICKED CUTZ – ORIGINAL PEPPERED BEEF JERKY
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag, I smell soy. The pieces are various in size, from medium to large, mostly medium in thickness. The jerky is soft and chewy, and it leaves an ever so slight oily residue on your fingertips.
The first flavors I encounter are salt, at a very good level, slight sweet, also at a good level, pepper, again at a great level. I also taste slight onion, slight soy, and a reasonable amount of natural beef.
I’m on my third piece of jerky, and while it tastes quite good, it is not quite blowing me away. It’s not really peppered enough to garner the ‘peppered’ moniker, the original label is more accurate.
All things considered, I am inclined to give this flavor the low end of a 9/10, or the high end of an 8/10. Gentlemen?
Here is what Stéphane had to say :“I also find the Wicked Cutz Original Peppered Beef Jerky to be quite good. The nice and rich meaty flavor, the smokiness, the garlic and onion are unmistakably succulent. This jerky has a decadent soft and tender texture. I find this snack to be really addictive and I simply can’t keep my hands off of these strips.
Although, I really like every aspect of this jerky, I can’t ignore a small issue where it is labeled as a ‘Peppered’ flavor. The peppery taste is simply too light to really justify such a descriptor.”
“This jerky does feel more like a really good Original and due to the small technicality mentioned above, I am more inclined to award Wicked Cutz Original Peppered Beef Jerky a 9\10 taste rating.”
Here is what Mark had to say about this Original Peppered beef jerky flavor from Wicked Cutz: “Thanks Paul and Stéphane for the honest and informative taste reviews. I am more on Paul’s side here, leaning towards a 8 or 9 taste rating.
The peppered level is noticeable but not high enough to justify having peppered in the flavor name. There is a decent level of smoked flavor present, and very little sweetness allowing the natural beef flavor to come through nicely. While this flavor is pleasant and enjoyable, I too was not blown away with this flavor but still impressed.”
Wicked Cutz sells online at 2.75 ounce/78 gram bag of jerky for $6.49. That equates to $2.36 an ounce, which rates in the upper range of a cheap price.
