Face De Beu Foods would like to restore the nobility of jerky, which is often seen as fast food and filled with salt and preservatives. Even though their jerky is safe to eat after 12 months, their goal is regularly to renew production to offer fresh jerky. FACE DE BEU JERKY – ORIGINAL BEEF JERKY
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag I smell nothing except natural beef. The pieces are small in size yet cut to a medium thickness. The jerky is dry and hard, just as our forefathers intended.
When I bite into the jerky, I taste salt and pepper, with very little to no sweetness, which is excellent. I am also picking up a slight onion flavour and a natural beef flavour.
These strips of jerky are quite tasty. They are just the right mix of delectable flavours to properly massage the taste palette, thereby bringing a delicious flavour. It tastes almost exactly like I am eating roast beef.
As a card-carrying carnivore, this brand of jerky is extremely impressive. What a ridiculously pleasing flavour. I find myself gyrating and gesticulating uncontrollably, desperately pining for that next fix to keep me “tranced by the taste”. Face De Beau, this is “Jerky de Beau”, colour me highly impressed. A most obvious and well-deserved 10/10 and two thumbs up!!👍👍 Gentlemen?

I appreciate the usage of the old expression “Face de Beu”. It is clever and funny. The Face de Beu – Original Black Angus Beef Jerky is very flavorful and memorable. The aroma is pleasant, and it appears this jerky has been simmered or at least marinated in a sort of beef broth. The flavor profile is rather light, subtle, simple, and well balanced. Amongst other flavors, I taste mild onion, black pepper, and a slight sweetness in the background.
The Face de Beu – Original Black Angus Beef Jerky is a good representation of an Original Beef Jerky flavor. The beef taste is well represented throughout each and every bite, and the flavor profile is clever and delicious. I really enjoyed this jerky and it’s a well-deserved 10/10 Taste Rating.
Here is what Mark had to say about this Original beef jerky flavor from Face De Beu Jerky: “Thanks Stéphane and Paul for the enthusiastic taste reviews. I could not agree more. The natural beef flavour is supposed to be at the forefront of an original flavour, and it is in spades. Now that Paul mentioned that the jerky tasted like roast beef, there is truth in that statement. With minimal sweetness present, the natural beef flavour shines through and reminds you of homemade jerky.”
“The overall taste profile is a light blend of spices, which is astounding for somebody who appreciates the natural taste of black angus beef. The mild taste of onion is exquisite. Take a bow Face De Beu Jerky. A well-deserved Excellent (10/10) taste rating will be awarded. A very enthusiastic two thumbs up!!👍👍”
This 2.1 ounce/60 gram bag of jerky sells for $8.99. That works out to $4.28 an ounce, which rates as an expensive price.

Bag Review
This white colored non-resealable bag has everything imprinted directly on the bag, both on the front and back. The bag is vacuum sealed, the best way to keep jerky fresh tasting.
A slogan printed on this bag is “Mangez Moinns Mais Mangez Mieux” (Eat Less But Eat Better). Some facts printed on this bag are “180 Calories”, “30g Protein”, “2g of Low Fat”, “2g of Sugar”, and “320mg of Salt”.
Some missing bag categories are distributor address details, a Canadian Department of Agriculture (CDA) inspected stamp, no English translations, and a blurb about the jerky flavour or brand.
