Ingredient Review
Ingredients: Beef, Corned Beef Seasoning (Sugar, Salt, Garlic Powder), BBQ Seasoning (Brown Sugar, Honey Powder, Vinegar Powder, Pineapple Juice Powder, Garlic Powder), Brown Sugar, Celery Juice Powder.
This jerky uses 100% grass-fed beef, the way nature intended. These cattle are raised ethically, meaning they are not fed growth hormones, or additional antibiotics. There is also some free range access for the cattle to roam about.
There is no liquid marinade used here. Instead, the honey, pineapple juice, and vinegar are all in powder form.
The sugar level is great at only 1 gram of sugar per 28 grams of jerky. The salt level is respectable at 340mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky.
This jerky does qualify to have no sodium nitrite, or any other similar unhealthy preservatives. Instead, the main preservative used is salt. To a lesser extent, celery juice powder acts as a preservative with its naturally occurring nitrates. Admirably, there is no MSG added.

Taste Review
These strips are small in size, and sliced to a medium thickness. The texture is on the dry side, but far from being overly dry. There are no signs of fat in the beef, and handling this jerky leaves no oily residue on your fingers.
The first flavor detected is a surprising amount of corned beef flavor, which turns out to be delectable with jerky. This is not a classic tomato based type of barbecue flavor, but interesting nonetheless. There is almost no sweetness present, which allows a fair amount of natural beef flavor.
Light levels of garlic and black pepper are great additions. The saltiness is not entirely consistent from strip to strip, but it is still at a reasonable level. A slight tanginess from the vinegar balances the flavor well. Overall, while not a traditional tasting barbecue flavor, this jerky is packed with flavor.
A 2 ounce/56 gram bag of jerky sells online for $4.89. That works out to $2.45 an ounce, which rates as an average price considering that 100% grass-fed beef is used. This flavor reaches the trifecta of being recommended from price, taste, and ingredient perspectives.
