Ingredient Review
Ingredients: Beef, Sweet Mesquite Habanero, Black Pepper, Soy Sauce, Worcestershire Sauce, Smoke Liquid, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Habaneros, Red Crush Pepper, Other Spices. Allergen Warnings: Soy
The beef used is not guaranteed to be free of growth hormones or additional antibiotics. Also, the beef is not guaranteed to have at least partial free range access to graze on grass. As a result, the highest ingredient rating that can be awarded is a Good (8/10) rating.
The liquid marinade consists of a decent soy sauce, a good Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke. Ingredients lists are not provided for the soy and Worcestershire sauces.
Healthy spices are used such as black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and other spices.
The heat is achieved from the red crushed chili peppers and habanero peppers. Hot peppers are healthy if eaten in moderation, which flush toxins out of the body.
The salt level is respectable at 340mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky. The sugar level is 5 grams of sugar per 28 grams of jerky. For a sweet based flavor, 5 grams of sugar is the maximum amount of sugar allowable.
This jerky does qualify to have no sodium nitrite, or any other similar unhealthy preservatives. Instead, the main preservative used is salt. Commendably, there is no MSG added.

Taste Review
These strips of jerky are medium in size, and sliced borderline thin. The texture is dry, but it is still reasonably easy to chew. There are very little signs of fat except for the odd marbling. Handling this jerky leaves no oily residue on your fingers.
Right away it is apparent that this is a great tasting flavor. Some of the flavors that tend to develop first are the garlic, black pepper, and onion at light levels. Chewing a bit more brings on a great ratio of soy and Worcestershire sauce. Only a subtle mesquite flavor is noticeable in the background.
There is definitely a great deal of heat present, although the heat is not entirely consistent from strip to strip. On a heat scale, it would rate a 4 out of 5, perhaps higher.
For a flavor advertised as being sweet, there is not all that much sweetness present, which is a good thing. Overall, this flavor is quite addictive, and highly enjoyable if you enjoy the intense heat from habanero peppers.
A 4 ounce/113 gram bag sells online for $9.49. That works out to $2.37 an ounce, which rates as a borderline expensive price. This flavor is certainly recommended as worth your money provided that you can handle the heat, and definitely pairs well with beer.
