Ingredient Review
Ingredients: Beef, Corned Beef Seasoning (Sugar, Salt, Garlic Powder), Gluten Free Soy Sauce (Water, Soybeans, Salt), Pineapple Juice, Brown Sugar, Celery Juice Powder. Allergen Warnings: Soy
This jerky uses 100% grass-fed beef, the way nature intended. These cattle are raised ethically, meaning they are not fed growth hormones, or additional antibiotics. There is also some free range access for the cattle to roam about.
The liquid marinade is comprised of a good gluten free soy sauce and healthy pineapple juice. Pineapples contain an enzyme named bromelain, which is used as a meat tenderizer in the food industry.
The sugar level is great at only 1 gram of sugar per 28 grams of jerky. The salt level is respectable at 350mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky.
This jerky does qualify to have no sodium nitrite, or any other similar unhealthy preservatives. Instead, the main preservative used is salt. To a lesser extent, celery juice powder acts as a preservative with its naturally occurring nitrates. Admirably, there is no MSG added.

Taste Review
These strips are small in size, and sliced almost borderline thin. The texture is on the dry side, but far from being overly dry. There is a little bit of fat in the beef, and handling this jerky leaves no oily residue on your fingers.
The first taste detected is a moderate level of salt Chewing more brings on a mild level of the corned beef flavor, an unusual choice for Teriyaki. A light level of garlic blends in well. Both the pineapple juice and soy sauce are subtle tasting.
For a sweet based flavor as we have here with Teriyaki, there is almost no sweetness present. There is a good amount of natural beef flavor. Overall, not a classic tasting Teriyaki flavor, but still a very tasty flavor.
A 2 ounce/56 gram bag of jerky sells online for $6.99. That works out to $3.50 an ounce, which rates as an expensive price. This flavor is recommended if you would enjoy a Teriyaki based flavor without the sweetness.

Johnny Lemon says
I don’t get it, you say it tastes more like corned beef than teriyaki, yet you still rate it an 8 /10 for flavor? How can it get a high rating for taste if it doesn’t take like what it’s supposed to?
Jerky Ingredients says
Hi Johnny, that is a perfectly legitimate question. While this flavor is not your classic tasting teriyaki flavor, it still did taste good. We tend to be finicky that the flavor tastes as advertised, but teriyaki is an exception to the rule. We do not favor overly sweet tasting teriyaki flavors, and this flavor was the opposite of sweet tasting. At the end of the day, it still was an enjoyable flavor, and hence the Good (8/10) taste rating. Thanks.
