It all started in the 70’s when Jeff Richards purchased a dehydrator from a county fair. Jeff’s mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother were all gourmet cooks. Many of the jerky recipes used today were refined for three decades. With more than 20 years of experience in the food industry, Jeff was ready to launch his jerky brand but wanted a reliable business partner. Through social media, Jeff reconnected with an old trusted friend Mike Aggarwal who himself had more than 25 years of experience in the food industry. In 2010, at the ages of 55 and 62, this Jeff’s Famous Jerky brand was launched with an old-fashioned handshake. Impressively, to date, over 1,000,000 bags of jerky have been sold. Jeff’s Famous Jerky brand is distributed under the name of Jeff’s Famous Foods, Inc., and they are located in Mission Veijo, California.

This is a standard ingredient list for bacon. As a result, the highest ingredient rating that can be awarded is a Good (8/10) rating. While not good, the bacon contains sodium erythorbate, and sodium nitrate as preservatives to lose a rating.
This liquid marinade used here is comprised of water, the well respected brand of Huy Fong Sriracha Sauce, healthy honey, a decent soy sauce, and a decent brand of chili sauce.
The sugar level is very high at 13 grams of sugar per 28 grams of jerky to lose a rating. For a spicy based flavor as we have here, our preference is 4 grams of sugar or less per 28 grams of jerky. The salt level is high at 430mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky to lose another rating. Our preference is 350mg of salt or less per 28 grams of jerky. Admirably, this jerky qualifies to have no MSG added.

Jeff’s Famous Bacon Jerky Sriracha Style Black Pepper is phenomenal in every aspect. The aroma is fragrant and inviting. The texture is crispy and simply perfect. The jerky is made with great quality and very meaty strips of bacon. The flavor profile has depth and complexity. Each flavor comes to life on their own and creates a harmonious and incomparable flavor profile.
This flavor is first introduced by a honey type of sweetness. The glaze is flavorful without been overly sweet while also providing an awesome crispiness in each bites. The taste of bacon is immediately followed with the amazing flavor of freshly cracked black pepper. Although, the Sriracha is somewhat subtle, it leads to some tasty notes of fruitiness, garlic and onions.
All in all, I am extremely impressed with Jeff’s Famous Bacon Jerky Sriracha Style Black Pepper. It is outstanding and incredibly addictive. There is no need for a PhD to understand why this is an Award Winning jerky. This jerky is exactly what it says it is with a few extra doses of WOW!
Jeff’s Famous Bacon Jerky Sriracha Style Black Pepper would be a wonderful addition to certain dishes like pancakes and waffles and so many other succulent pork or chicken dishes or sprinkled on a scoop of ice cream and many other tasty desserts.

This white resealable plastic bag has a label affixed to the front, and nothing on the back. There is a stamp displayed stating that this flavor is Sweet & Mildly Spicy tasting.
There are no slogans printed. Some facts displayed on the bag are “Award Winning”, “Super Premium”, and “Natural Smoke Flavor Added”.
