Vinnie was taught a while ago by a jerky master who was retiring. They met due to the fact that Vinnie had been buying jerky from him for years because it was delicious. Since then Vinnie has experimented successfully with new flavors. Vinnie describes himself as a Meat Sherpa (#meatsherpa). A sherpa meaning renowned for their skill in mountaineering. In 2015, Vinnie debuted Vinnie’s Old Time Jerky.
Currently, Vinnie’s Ol Time Jerky has 16 flavors available. All of their flavors have a base heat of black pepper, red pepper, and Tabasco sauce. Vinnie’s Old Time Jerky is distributed under the same name of Vinnie’s Old Time Jerky, and it is located in Garland, Texas.
The next review on Vinnie’s Old Time Jerky will focus on a 4 ounce/113 gram bag of their Xmas Breakfast flavored beef jerky. This flavor is described as using Vermont maple syrup from highland sugar works, and cooked mulled spiced wine, and fresh purée oranges and orange zest. The jerky was graciously submitted for review by the founder, Vince Inglhofer.
The beef used is from Superior Angus Beef, which is guaranteed to have been raised ethically, meaning not administered growth hormones or additional antibiotics. As a result, the highest ingredient rating possible is Very Good (9/10).
There is no nutrition facts table provided. As a result, the sugar and salt levels are unknown.
VINNIE’S OL TIME JERKY – XMAS BREAKFAST BEEF JERKY
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag I smell nothing. The pieces are large in size, and they are sliced rather thin. The jerky is medium soft and very moist, and it leaves a fair bit of an oily residue on your fingers.
When I bite into the jerky I am tasting salt, pepper, garlic, acceptable sweet, and this unique phantom flavor, wish I knew what it was.
This might be the first time I’m saying this, but the phantom flavour is exceptionally intriguing. It’s ridiculously addictive. Mark & I discussed this earlier this evening, and I am forced to concur, this flavour is hitting large on the ‘WOW’ factor. There is some fat on this jerky, which only serves to enhance the flavour.
Colour me sold folks, this flavour is the bomb, and KAPOW!!!, this is a bonafide 10/10 on the jerky scale. When I tried a piece a couple of days ago, I was just so-so, but what a difference a couple of days make. Vinnie, I thought croatians were only good at pasta, but I am clearly wrong. You rock at jerky as well. Go ahead, make me an offer I can’t refuse… Two thumbs way up!!!👍👍
Here is what Mark had to say about this Xmas Breakfast beef jerky flavor from Vinnie’s Old Time Jerky: “Thanks Paul for the great taste review. Due to COVID-19, our Group of Seven is down to just Paul and I. Oh well, you do the best you can and adapt.”
“You know when a flavor tastes great when you set aside a certain amount of jerky to eat in one sitting, and you find yourself uncontrollably grabbing the bag for yet another strip of jerky before it is all gone. This might have been the type of flavor that is not Paul or I favorite flavor being sweet based, but thankfully the sweetness does not go overboard. The overall taste profile is genius, has a taste of homemade jerky, and tastes like more. Take a bow Vinnie!”
This is just a clear non-resealable plastic bag. The bag is vacuum sealed, the best possible way to keep jerky fresh tasting.
There are no slogans or facts printed on this bag.
There are too many bag categories missing to list them all.
