Branch Warren’s forefathers were cattlemen, and beef jerky was a staple of their existence. A century and a half later, he is still carrying on that tradition with time-honored recipes that they guarantee you will love. Branch was born in Texas and spent his early childhood on a cattle ranch. On that ranch is where he learned the value of hard work. He later moved to the Ft. Worth area, where he began bodybuilding, and ultimately became a world champion professional bodybuilder. During this time is when Branch learned the importance of having a high-quality protein food source that is hormone-free and all-natural.
Throughout his life Branch has loved jerky and wanted to own his own company. So after retiring from competitive bodybuilding Branch wished to pass on his healthy lifestyle and time-honored family recipes to you. Once you open a bag and take the first bite, they guarantee you will love the wickedly awesome flavor of Wicked Cutz. This Wicked Cutz jerky brand is distributed under the name of Wicked Cutz, and they are located in Southlake, Texas.
The next review for Wicked Cutz will focus on a 2.75 ounce/78 gram bag of their Volcanic Jalapeno beef jerky. This Volcanic Jalapeno flavor is described as craft beef jerky that starts as a southern bell and erupts like a boxing kangaroo with a caffeine addiction. The jerky was kindly submitted for review by Luis Ubanda.

WICKED CUTZ – VOLCANIC JALAPENO BEEF JERKY
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag, I smell vinegar and heat potential. I only say this because this is the same odor that used to emanate from our hot flavor, when we used to make it. The strips vary in size from small to medium, and they are soft and chewy. There is no oily residue left on your fingers handling these strips.
The first flavors I encounter are salt, pepper, garlic, vinegar, some natural beef flavor, and a nice, manageable heat from the volcanic jalapeños. I’m already starting to sweat a bit, but it might also have to do with the fact that I haven’t had a bloody haircut since this d*mn pandemic hit, I feel like a friggin’ hippie! The volcanic jalapeño flavor is at the forefront of this particular flavor, and it is dosh garn tasty! I can see the chili flakes on the strips of jerky, as well as an orange hue on the jerky, which I’m guessing is the ‘volcanic jalapeño’ spices.
This flavor hovers just beneath the ‘Wow!’ factor, which is why I am awarding a 9/10, although, with a half-hearted twist of my wrist, I could quite easily be coerced into a 10/10.
Here is what Mark had to say about this Volcanic Jalapeno beef jerky flavor from Wicked Cutz: “Thanks Paul for the great taste review. I personally very much enjoyed this flavor, and could not identify a single fault. For a jalapeno based flavor as we have here, the heat level is higher than most. On a heat scale, the heat level rates at about 2 out of 4, or a 3 out of 5.”
“Due to COVID-19, we are down to just two members from the Group of Seven. I was ‘wowed’ by this flavor, and feel that nothing less than a 10 taste rating is warranted. A very enthusiastic two thumbs up!!👍👍”
Wicked Cutz sells online a 2.75 ounce/78 gram bag of jerky for $6.49. That equates to $2.36 an ounce, which rates in the upper range of a cheap price.
