ED’S ROADHOUSE JERKY – SWEET ‘N SPICY L’IL SMOKEY BEEF JERKY
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag, I smell soy. The jerky is hard(ish) and chewy. The pieces are medium in size and sliced rather thin. There is no oily residue left on your fingers handling these jerky strips.
The first flavors I encounter are salt, pepper, garlic, next to no sweet, soy, and some, but not a lot of heat. It is at a mild level at best.
Overall, this jerky is bloody tasty. There is even some fat to accentuate the flavor. The only issue(s) I have is that it is not spicy enough, nor is the sweetness present. While I don’t particularly like the sweet flavor, it should have some only because it is advertised as so.
Nevertheless, I am so enjoying this flavor that I am willing to give it a 9/10, it is well deserved.
Typically, when a jerky flavor tastes like “more”, which this jerky definitely qualifies for, then a 9 or 10/10 is pretty much the only conclusions applicable.
Ed’s Roadhouse, take a bow, you’ve created a delectable flavor. DE-LIC-IOUS!!!😋👍
Here is what Mark had to say about this Sweet ‘N Spicy L’il Smokey beef jerky flavor from Ed’s RoadHousE Jerky: “Thanks Paul for the enthusiastic taste review. I concur 100% with what you said. True that this flavor is not all that spicy or sweet-tasting, but delicious tasting and highly addictive. As for the smokiness, I maybe detect a little smoke present, but this flavor is advertised as only containing a little level of sweet smoke.”
“This overall well-balanced taste flavor profile comes across as a 10 taste rating. Especially the fantastic garlic flavor. If it were an original flavor, the rating would be a 10. However, due to the minimal spiciness and sweetness present, a Very Good (9/10) taste rating will be awarded. Take a bow Ed’s RoadHousE Jerky for creating another scrumptious flavor.”
Ed’s RoadHousE Jerky sells online a 4 ounce/113 gram bag of jerky for $13.99. That equates to $3.50 an ounce, which rates at an expensive price.

Bag Review
This clear non-plastic resealable has a label affixed to the front and nothing on the back. This bag is vacuum-sealed, the best way to keep jerky fresh tasting.
A slogan printed on this bag in “Nobody Beats My Meat”. Some facts written are “All Natural”, “No Preservatives or Additives”, and “Made in USA”.
Some bag categories missing are a bar code, jerky weight not stated in grams, a USDA inspected stamp, and a best before date.
