The beef used is not guaranteed to be free of growth hormones or additional antibiotics. Also, the beef is not guaranteed to have at least partial free range access to graze on grass. As a result, the highest ingredient rating that can be awarded is a Good (8/10) rating.
The liquid marinade consists of a poor soy sauce, an average Worcestershire sauce, water, and healthy vinegar.
Some healthy ingredients are added such as garlic and spices.
The sugar level is respectable at 2 grams of sugar per 28 grams of jerky. The salt level is very high at 620mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky to lose a rating. Our preference is 350mg of salt or less per 28 grams of jerky.
This jerky does qualify to have no sodium nitrite, or any other similar unhealthy preservatives. Instead, the main preservative used is salt. Vinegar to a lesser degree also acts as a preservative.
This jerky does not qualify to be MSG free because the highly processed flavor enhancer hydrolyzed soy protein is used in the soy sauce to lose another rating.

When I open the bag I smell soy. The pieces are medium in both size and thickness, the jerky is dry and chewy and it leaves no oily residue on your fingers. The jerky has a dark hue, which typically means copious amounts of marinade.
When I bite into the jerky I taste salt, pepper, both at decent levels. I also taste garlic and possibly slight onion in the background. I taste soy, I believe, as well as natural beef. I am not detecting a kick, but it is not advertised as having a kick, am I also tasting mustard?
Although advertised as original, this flavor of jerky is ripe with other rather unorthodox flavors not typically indigenous to an original flavor, which is making it a somewhat unique taste experience, one which I would be clearly interested in exploring again and again.
In conclusion, my review has written its own rating, which is most absolutely a 10/10. A very enthusiastic two thumbs up!!👍👍 Gentlemen?

Beef Jerky Outlet – Original Beef Jerk is very flavorful, and there is a lot going on. The meaty and slight smokiness stands in the background. The extensive flavor profile is balanced and can be kind of borderline distracting, as it refers to the beef and the Original status of this jerky. I am pleasantly impressed with the aroma and the texture.
I do find the Beef Jerky Outlet – Original Beef Jerky tasty and addictive and I really enjoyed this little treat. I rate this jerky 9\10 Taste Rating.
