Country Archer was founded in 1977 by a butcher named Celestino Mirarchi. The current owners, Eugene and Susan Kang discovered this jerky on a road trip to the Grand Canyon. They were so impressed with the jerky that the trio became partners. Today, Country Archer’s healthy jerky and meat snacks line is sold nationwide. A focus is put on “Food for Doers – Made By Doers”. The Country Archer jerky brand name is distributed under the same name as Country Archer, and they are located in San Bernardino, California.

100% grass-fed beef is used here, just the way nature intended. These cattle are raised ethically, meaning they are not fed growth hormones or additional antibiotics. There is also some free range access for the cattle to roam about. As a result, the ingredient rating starts at Excellent (10/10).
The liquid marinade consists of healthy mango juice concentrate, a good brand of gluten free tamari soy sauce, and healthy organic seasoned rice vinegar dressing.
Some healthy ingredients are added, such as garlic, cayenne pepper, and Habanero chili peppers.
The sugar level is at the upper threshold at 5 grams of sugar per 28 grams of jerky for a sweet and hot based flavor. The salt level is low at 180mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky.
This jerky does qualify to have no sodium nitrite. Instead, salt is the main preservative added. Admirably, this jerky does qualify to have no MSG added.

When I open the bag I believe I am smelling something fruity, possibly mango. If not, then maybe lemon. Either way, let’s presume it’s the mango I’m smelling.
When I bite into the jerky I taste salt, pepper, sweet, lemon/lime (mango), garlic, and then the habanero flavor kicks in. And it’s at a very noticeable level. I am very much enjoying this flavor, as is my daughter. We both love the flavor and the kick afterward.
Country Archer, you have made a very delectable flavor, one we both give a 10/10 taste rating. Gentlemen?

This jerky is really enjoyable in many ways. I pick up some acidity while sticking my nose in the bag.
The spiciness and the flavor profile do complement the beefy taste very well. The spiciness builds up slowly, making it very enjoyable while the experience is nicely prolonged over time. Although the texture varies very much between most pieces, I still really like the contrast and the variety of texture this jerky has to offer.
All in all, this is a very tasty jerky. It is addictive and an all around great jerky in my own opinion. I see or have no reason to give this great little treat a very well deserved 10/10 Taste Rating. Bouya!

I too was impressed with Mango Habanero flavor for the most part. The mango flavor comes across well and counteracts the heat from the habanero peppers. Not that there is all that much heat present, a knock for a Habanero flavor, but likely hot enough to satisfy the majority of people.”
“A nice dry texture is present but at times the jerky strips are sliced so thin it becomes flaky and loses the taste of beef. The taste profile is well balanced with soy sauce and the acidity from the organic rice vinegar dressing. Garlic rarely ceases to disappoint. With Stéphane and Paul at 10 ratings, and myself at a 9 rating, an Excellent (10/10) taste rating will be awarded.”
