Ingredients: Beef, Sugar, Pineapple Juice, Salt, Adobo Marinade (Water, Paprika, Salt, Spices, Vinegar, Garlic), Soy Sauce (Water, Wheat, Soybeans, Salt, Sodium Benzoate: Less than 1/10th of 1% as a preservative), Sodium Nitrite. Allergen Warnings: Soy, Wheat
Sierra Madre Provision Co. uses ranch raised beef, which means the cattle have free range access to graze on grass. The cattle are also ethically raised, meaning that the cows receive no growth hormones or additional antibiotics. As a result, the ingredient rating starts at a Very Good (9/10) rating.
The liquid marinade used here contains healthy pineapple juice, a wholesome Adobo marinade, and an average brand of soy sauce.
There is no nutrition facts table provided. As a result, the exact sugar and salt levels are unknown.
This jerky does not qualify to be sodium nitrite free, as sodium nitrite is used outright as a preservative to lose a rating. Admirably, this jerky does qualify to have no MSG added.

SIERRA MADRE PROVISION CO. – CHIPOTLE ADOBO BEEF JERKY
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag I smell nothing more than natural beef, which is actually a good thing. The strips are rather large, and they are cut thin to medium in thickness. The jerky is somewhat rigid and dry, just the way our forefathers intended.
When I bite into the strip of jerky, so am immediately met with the salt, pepper, sweet (maybe a tad too sweet, maybe nominal), garlic, and almost like a spicy barbecue-y flavor, is that the chipotle because I don’t ever remember adobo being spicy. The spice is by no means too intense. In fact, I would have preferred a bit more spice flavor with it having “chipotle” in the title of the flavor.
Now don’t get me wrong. I am genuinely and profoundly enjoying this flavor. It’s just a few minor observations.
Otherwise, well done once again, SMPC. You have created yet another delectable flavor for us jerky lovers to enjoy. Take a bow.
My review kind of glides between 9/10 and 10/10, but I’m enjoying this flavor so much that I’m going to ignore the tiny potential issues and vociferously award a 10/10. A very enthusiastic two thumbs up!!👍👍 Gentlemen?

The Sierra Madre Provisions Co. – Chipotle Adobo Beef Jerky most distinctive flavors are its sweetness, beefy taste, and a slight spiciness. The sweetness is most noticeable in its freshness and the fruitiness of the pineapple. The beefy flavor is also prominent, with a light spiciness in the background. The aroma and texture are pleasant, and the smell of sweetness and vinegar are also present. The texture is dry and not overly leathery.
The flavors of the Sierra Madre Provisions Co. – Chipotle Adobo Beef Jerky are primarily light, subtle, and balanced. I’ve enjoyed this flavor and rate it 9/10 Taste Rating.
Here is what Mark had to say about this Chipotle Adobo beef jerky flavor from Sierra Madre Provision Co. “Thanks Paul and Stéphane for the honest taste reviews. I am on board with both of you here. True in that there is some heat present, although not so sure that I would say it’s chipotle. The Adobo marinade used is interesting, not being all that familiar with the flavor Adobo. The pineapple juice fits in nicely to compliment the overall taste profile. Also appreciated is the good old fashioned dry texture of these jerky strips. With Paul at a 10 rating and Stéphane and myself at a 9 rating, a Very Good (9/10) taste rating will be awarded.”
This 3.25 ounce/92 gram bag sells online for $6.99, which works out to $1.84 an ounce. That rates as a pretty cheap price. Free shipping is offered on orders over $49.99.
