Ingredient Review
Ingredients: Turkey, Sea Salt, Encapsulated Lactic Acid, Encapsulated Celery Powder (Cultured Celery Powder, Sea Salt), Spices (Including Rosemary, Basil, Thyme), Dried Vegetable Powder (Carrot, Garlic, Onion), Cherry Powder, Colored Beef Collagen Casing (Paprika, Beta-Carotine).
On the whole, turkey is a leaner and healthier choice of meat compared to beef. Turkeys raised in the US are not allowed to receive growth hormones. There is no guarantee that the turkey has free range access to roam about. As a result, the highest ingredient rating possible is Very Good (9/10).
Some healthy ingredients added are spices, rosemary, basil, thyme, carrot powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cherry powder, and paprika.
The sugar level is perfect at 0 grams of sugar per 28 grams of jerky. The salt level is a little high at 410mg of salt per 28 grams of jerky. However, the salt level is ignored because healthy, unrefined sea salt is used instead of table salt.
This jerky does qualify as having no sodium nitrite added. Instead, sea salt is the main preservative added. Admirably, this jerky does qualify to have no MSG added.

WEGMANS – ROSEMARY TURKEY STICK
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I bite off the top of the covering for the meat stick, I smell a spice, just not sure which one. I’m guessing it’s rosemary, but I am unaware of what rosemary smells like. The meat stick (pepperette) looks just like any other meat stick in length, girth, and color.
When I bit into the meat stick I found a discernible “snap” to the collagen casing. As I eat more, I find that the meat stick is more rigid than most other meat sticks, which is the best part.
I taste salt at a higher than average level, which to me is good, next to no sweet, pepper at a reasonable level, and maybe slight garlic in the background. But the not-so-secret spice rosemary is indeed prevalent in the flavor. This is the best meat stick I’ve consumed in some time. I have no choice but to rate this meat stick as a “no-brainer” 10/10. Gentlemen?

I can’t agree more with Paul that Wegmans – Rosemary Turkey Meat Stick is fantastic. The seasoning is tasty, and it remains in the background where it belongs. The taste of turkey paired with the rosemary and decent saltiness is a winning combination. The texture and aroma are impeccable, and the meat stick is dry, but in a good way, where the meat quality really shines. Each bite is clean and flavorful, and it simply spells quality.
I can only find pros and no cons with this Wegmans – Rosemary Turkey Meat Stick. I really enjoyed each and every bite. I highly recommend this little gem to people who want simplicity, where less is more. It’s an easy 10/10 Taste Rating from me too! Godspeed!
Here is what Mark had to say about this Rosemary flavored turkey stick from Wegmans: “Thanks Stéphane and Paul for the glowing taste reviews. It is hard to disagree with anything mentioned here. My only minor complaint, which is arguable, is that the rosemary flavor is not bold enough. As mentioned by Stéphane and Paul, that is probably by design. With Stéphane and Paul at a 10 rating, and myself at a 9 rating, an Excellent (10/10) taste rating will be awarded.”
This 1 ounce/28 gram bag sold for $1.89, which rates as a expensive price.
