The beef used is not guaranteed to be free of growth hormones or additional antibiotics. Also, the beef is not guaranteed to have at least partial free range access to graze on grass. As a result, the highest ingredient rating that can be awarded is a Good (8/10) rating.
Being that by nature sausages are not whole sliced muscles of meat, one ingredient rating is deducted.
There are some healthy ingredients added such as spices and garlic powder.
There is no nutrition facts table provided. As a result, the exact sugar and salt levels are unknown. With no sugars being listed in the ingredient list, this sausage does qualify to be under 2 grams of sugar per 28 grams of sausage.
These sausages do not qualify to be sodium nitrite free, as sodium nitrite is used outright as a preservative to lose a rating. Commendably, this flavor qualifies to have no MSG added.

When I open the bag, I smell sausage (salami?) and vinegar. The sausage slices are thin and round, are soft and moist, and they leave an oily residue on your fingers.
The first flavors I detect are salt, pepper, garlic, vinegar, and a salami-like flavor. I am a big fan of salami, so, by extension, I am a big fan of this flavor of summer sausage. I’m going to revert to one of my favorite comments when I really like a certain flavor. It tastes like ‘more’.
The Patriots Brand Jerky has really hit the nail on the head for this particular flavor, it is undressing my taste buds and slipping my palette into something more comfortable. It is caressing my tongue and tickling my teeth. As I swallow it is gently massaging my inner juices and bringing my taste buds to orgasm all over my digestive system. Time to take another bite and experience it all over again. Thank you Patriots Brand, for stirring my intestinal loins. Bravo, another 10/10 gentlemen….👍👍

The sourness similar to vinegar is what sets this flavor apart. The flavor was shared between ten people, where nobody could identify a single problem with this flavor other than Sid and Nolan who said it lacked sweetness. The less experienced people in the Group of Seven awarded their highest ratings to date.
