Backwoods Chef Eddie is the creator of the 3B’s Pub Jerky brand name that was officially launched in 2006. 3B’s meaning Beer, Babes, and Burgers/Beef. Eddie was a U.S. Army paratrooper having served during the Cold war era defending a border with the 11th ACR from a possible threat. Growing up in the Backwoods and hunting in his home state of Virginia, he became an avid hunter following traditional Native American ways of hunting building natural blinds, hunting from trees, or stalking his prey. Whitetail deer and wild turkey were his favorite choices for jerky.
All meat is harvested and not wasted. With the harvest of those hunts, the earliest jerky recipes were created, which have evolved into the recipes that they use with their beef jerky today. This 3B’s Pub Jerky brand name is located in Elkton, Virginia, and it is distributed under the same name of 3B’s Pub Jerky.
3B’s Pub Jerky debuted this quite interesting “Jerky so quick”, it’s tha “Jerky on Zip” 1:17 minute video in August 2019.

Taste Review
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag, I smell delicious. A myriad of delectable flavors are jumping out at me. The strips are mostly medium in size, and they are sliced to a medium thickness. The jerky is somewhat dry and chewy, which to a Neanderthal like myself, I love it, it’s the way jerky should be.
Oh my goodness, can jerky get any tastier than this? I think not! I taste copious amounts of both salt and pepper, two of my favorite condiments. There is also a fair garlic flavor coming through, with only a slight hint of sweet. There is also a juice, is it pineapple, or vinegar?
I also taste some onion in the background. My oh my, this jerky is melting in my mouth, I am feeling weak in the knees, my taste buds are exploding in delight. I taste a bit of heat, but it is not really at the spicy level. It is a great addition, along with all the other spectacular flavors, but it does not go any higher than a 1 or 1-1/2 out of 5 on the heat scale. But I am so enamored with the overall flavor of this jerky that I am more than willing to overlook the fact that it is not quite as spicy as advertised. To me, with all of the jerky we’ve sampled, this flavor is very near the top, hence a resounding 10/10, in my opinion. Two thumbs way up!!!👍👍 Gentlemen?
Here is what Stéphane had to say about this flavor: “I really enjoyed this 3B’s Pub Jerky – Spicy Traditional Beef Jerky. A splash of acidity/vinegar make the flavors ‘POP’ and its slight kiss of tasty chili opens up all my taste buds.”
“All these mouth watering flavors are well complimented by a welcome smokiness. It’s also a 10/10 taste rating here. Hey Paul! Clean up in Aisle 6…”
Here is what Mark had to say about this spicy traditional beef jerky flavor from 3B’s Pub Jerky: “Thanks Paul and Stéphane for the great taste reviews. 3B’s Pub Jerky indeed has a tasty base for all of their flavors. Not all feedback was unanimous here, but in all honesty, there was not enough jerky to share around with only two 1 ounce bags submitted for review. Not each strip is consistent tasting, but does eventually build up into a great flavor.”
A 1 ounce/28 gram bag sells for $5.00, which rates as an expensive price. The price is cheaper at $3.12 an ounce if you order a pound of jerky from the 3B’s Pub Jerky web site.
