Stoney Point Farm Market is a family-owned and operated country farmers market with three generations, and over 85 years of experience in providing wholesome goods – primarily fresh cut meats, locally grown produce, and prepared food and specialty items. Plus Stoney Point Farm Market is 50% woman-owned with an SQF Level 3 USDA facility.
Stoney Point Farm Market takes great pride in having an extremely loyal customer base who appreciate its wide variety of offerings, competitive prices, and friendly service. Their farmer’s markets are conveniently located 1.5 miles southwest of Littlestown, Pennsylvania, on Route 194 South, and in The Markets at Hanover on Broadway in Hanover, PA, and less than ten miles away from the Gettysburg National Military Park!
The Stoney Point Premium Meat Snacks jerky brand was created to give back to the military. Out of every pound sold they donate a dollar to active-duty troops overseas and usually send around $5,000 dollar’s worth of jerky every December overseas to them. Half lbs packages are sold for fundraisers at $8.50 a bag, and they in turn sell them from 11 to 16 dollars. Stoney Point Premium Meat Snacks is distributed under the name of Stoney Point Inc., and they are located in Littlestown, Pennsylvania.
The next review on Stoney Point Premium Meat Snacks will focus on an 8 ounce/227 gram bag of their Mango Habanero flavored beef jerky. This jerky was graciously submitted for review by Amanda Fowler.
Ingredient Review
Ingredients: Beef, Soy Sauce (Water, Salt, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Corn Syrup, Caramel Color, Potassium Sorbate), Sugar, Smoke Flavor, Spices, Toasted Garlic, Mango Nectar, Apple Cider Vinegar, Honey, Habanero Peppers, Caramel Color, Cultured Dextrose. Allergen Warnings: Soy
The beef used is ethically raised, meaning it is guaranteed to be free of growth hormones and additional antibiotics. Also, the cattle have at least partial free range access to roam about and graze on grass the way nature intended. As a result, the highest ingredient rating that can be awarded is a Very Good (9/10) rating.
The liquid marinade is comprised of a poor brand of soy sauce, healthy mango nectar, super healthy apple cider vinegar, and healthy honey.
There are some healthy ingredients added such as spices and toasted garlic.
The sugar level is at the upper allowable limit for a hot based flavor at 4 grams of sugar per 28 grams of jerky. The salt level is somewhat high at 430mg of salt per 28 grams to lose a rating. Our preference is 350mg of salt or less per 28 grams of jerky.
This jerky qualifies to have no sodium nitrite, or any other similar unhealthy preservative added. To a lesser degree, the cultured dextrose and apple cider vinegar also act as preservatives. This jerky does not qualify to have no MSG added, as the highly processed cheap flavor enhancer hydrolyzed soy protein is used in the soy sauce to lose a rating.

STONEY POINT PREMIUM MEAT SNACKS – MANGO HABANERO BEEF JERKY
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I open the bag, I indeed smell the mango. The strips of jerky are small to medium in size, and they are sliced rather thin. The jerky is shiny and oily, and are a bit slick to the touch. The jerky is soft and chewy, and it leaves a fair amount of oily residue on your fingers.
The first flavors I encounter are the salt, sweet, garlic, mango, and the habanero is undoubtedly making its presence known. It is at a decent level, spicier than your average hot jerky flavors. I am very much enjoying the mixture of flavors. The mango is helping to dial down the intensity of the heat from the habaneros quite well, but make no mistake. We are consuming a spicy product here. Not for the squeamish, I must say.
WOW!! Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this flavor of jerky is most definitely hitting it on the ‘Wow’ factor. Color me very duly impressed. It is hitting with spades on both the mango and the habanero flavors. A bonafide haymaker to the temple knock-out, I’m down for the 8-count and sold on this mango habanero beef jerky. A 10/10, much more if I was allowed. Two thumbs way up!!!👍👍
Here is what Stéphane had to say: “The Stoney Point Premium Meat Snacks mango habanero beef jerky is sweet, fruity, and reasonably spicy. The sweetness and spiciness are not overly done, as they are likely at an acceptable level for most people. This flavor profile is nice, simple, and well balanced.”
“The spiciness is at a level where we can certainly taste the habanero flavor without having our taste buds destroyed by the heat. I’d rate the Stoney Point Premium Meat Snacks mango habanero beef jerky 10/10 taste rating.”
Here is what Mark had to say about this Mango Habanero beef jerky flavor from Stoney Point Premium Meat Snacks: “Thanks Paul and Stéphane for the enthusiastic detailed taste reviews. I am in agreement with everything stated. This flavor delivers on both the mango and habanero. Not that this flavor is excessively spicy, but spicy enough.”
“Due to COVID-19, this review is down to four people from the Group of Seven. Mark M. was impressed with this flavor also. At these low prices, it makes you wish that there was a Stoney Point Farm Market in our neighborhood.”
This 8 ounce/227 gram bag of jerky sells at the Stoney Point Farm Market stores for $13.00, which rates as a pretty cheap price.

Bag Review
This clear resealable bag has labels affixed to the front and back. The Stoney Point Premium Meat Snacks logo has two knives crossed, and pictures of a horse, elk, and wild boar heads. This bag is vacuum-sealed, the best possible way to keep jerky fresh tasting.
There is no slogan printed on this bag. The only fact printed is “Made in USA.”
The only bag categories missing are the bag not being resealable, and no best before date. A sticker is affixed, which seems to have a batch number that could translate to a best before date. Commendably, a phone number is provided for customer inquiries. A small blurb is printed about Stoney Point Premium Meat Snacks.
