This Bronco Billy’s Beef Jerky brand name was trademarked in 2006. Bronco Billy’s Beef Jerky was started by Joseph Arcuri, who has passed away a few years ago. Stoney Point Inc., in partnership with his wife, Kathy Arcuri has expanded and pushed the brand in its current growth, from 50 pounds a week to 10,000 pounds a week and still growing.
By no accident, Bronco Billy’s Beef Jerky does resemble the formerly trendy jerky brand Wild Bill’s Beef Jerky in every facet that also originated in Pennsylvania. After Monogram Food Snacks from Tennessee acquired Wild Bill’s Beef Jerky in 2009, many loyal customers have vented to us that Monogram Food Snacks ruined their beloved Wild Bill’s Beef Jerky brand. Especially in the last four or five years with Monogram cheapening their ingredients and using non-USA beef.
Consumers have another choice with Bronco Billy’s Beef Jerky to restore Pennsylvania’s pride with this Bronco Billy’s Beef Jerky brand that is still Hand Cut, Hand Sliced, and Hand Packed using USDA beef. Bronco Billy’s Beef Jerky is distributed under the name of Stoney Point Inc., and they are located in Littlestown, Pennsylvania.
The next review on Bronco Billy’s Beef Jerky will focus on a 2 ounce/56 gram bag of their Six Shooter flavored beef jerky. This jerky is described as being hand strung and cut to size all by hand. The jerky was graciously submitted for review by Amanda Fowler.
Ingredient Review
Ingredients: Beef, Soy Sauce (Water, Salt, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Corn Syrup, Caramel Color, Potassium Sorbate), Water, Brown Sugar, Corn Syrup, Flavorings, Cultured Dextrose. Allergen Warnings: Soy
The beef used is ethically raised, meaning it is guaranteed to be free of growth hormones and additional antibiotics. The cattle have partial free range access to roam about and graze on grass the way nature intended. As a result, the highest ingredient rating that can be awarded is a Very Good (9/10) rating.
The liquid marinade is comprised of a poor brand of soy sauce and water.
There are no healthy added ingredients listed. The vague term flavorings is used, which may or may not include healthy ingredients.
While there is a nutrition facts table, the sugar level is not listed. Based on taste alone the sugar level is low. The salt level is high at 430mg of salt per 28 grams to lose a rating. Our preference is 350mg of salt or less per 28 grams of jerky.
This jerky qualifies to have no sodium nitrite, or any other similar unhealthy preservative added. This jerky does not qualify to have no MSG added, as the highly processed cheap flavor enhancer hydrolyzed soy protein is used in the soy sauce to lose a rating.
Decent (7/10) – Ingredient Rating

Bronco Billy’s Beef Jerky – Six Shooter Beef Jerky
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I cut open the vacuum-sealed bag, I smell a very pungent soy odor. When I pull out a strip, it is long, thin, with a very dark hue, and it leaves a significant amount of oily residue on your fingers.
The first flavors I encounter are salt, at a very high level ( which I like), pepper, garlic, strong soy, and some natural beef. I don’t detect much, no, not any sweet, which is a good thing.
This jerky is quite tasty, and it resonates as a great jerky snack. Bronco Billy’s has produced a very delectable soy driven jerky flavor that would adequately suffice pretty much anyone’s desire for an addictive meat snack.
The jerky has a very dark hue, which tells me that Bronco Billy’s marinated the heck out of it, which is always a good thing.
Calice tabernac, this jerky is spectacular. It is hitting on very many tasty flavors. It is revolutionizing the way we perceive jerky. I am a devout fan of this flavor, and I am awarding a no-doubt, bases-loaded grand slam, series is over, call it a day home run. A very enthusiastic two thumbs up!!👍👍 Gentlemen?
Here is what Mark had to say about this Teriyaki beef jerky flavor from Bronco Billy’s Beef Jerky: “Thanks Paul for the fantastic taste review. I can’t say that I was surprised by your taste review. These high salt and soy flavors, along with a great old-fashioned dry texture, are hard to resist. The question is, was it too salty? Based on some co-workers’ observations, including my own, the salt level is deemed a little too high. I am sure salt lovers will disagree.”
“Due to COVID-19, we are down to just three members from the Group of Seven. Mark M. was a little taken aback with the saltiness awarding an 8 taste rating. Jamie, a guest reviewer, agreed with Mark M. Personally, I can see why some people absolutely love this flavor, and I am included in that crowd. However, due to the strong saltiness, a rating will be deducted for a Very Good (9/10) taste rating.”
This 2 ounce/56 gram bag of jerky sells online for $7.99, which works out to $4.00 an ounce. That rates at an expensive price.

Bag Review
This clear non-resealable bag has a label attached to the front and nothing on the back. The Bronco Billy’s Beef Jerky logo is of the cowboy Yosemite Sam shooting two guns into the sky. This bag is vaccum-sealed, the best way to keep jerky fresh tasting.
There are no slogans or facts printed on this bag.
Some missing bag categories are an incomplete nutrition facts table, a blurb printed about the jerky or flavor, a soy allergen warning, and a best before date. Commendably, a phone number is provided for customer inquiries.
