Taste Review

ED’S ROADHOUSE JERKY – LI’L SWEET JALAPENO HABANERO BEEF JERKY

Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker

When I open the bag I smell spice, more accurately the jalapeño, and maybe even the habanero, and natural beef.

The jerky is dry and a little chewy, just the way our forefathers intended. The jerky strips are small to medium in size, and they are sliced rather thin. There is no oily residue left on your fingers handling these jerky strips.

The first flavours I encounter are salt, at a very good level, pepper, also at a good level, garlic, natural beef, and a very discernible kick. I taste both the jalapeño and the habanero. Wow! This jerky is some kind of bloody tasty. I just looked around and saw the fire extinguisher behind me. I may need it soon. I am sweating profusely, this jerky is coming across exactly as advertised.

The heat, along with the natural beef flavour, and the remarkable mix of ingredients in this jerky have put this flavour right in to the stratosphere. I am hooked, this jerky flavour is da bomb!! Sign me up, I’m a disciple of Ed’s RoadHousE Jerky li’l sweet jalapeño habanero beef jerky. A 20/10 in my opinion. No, that’s not a typo… A very enthusiastic two thumbs up!!👍👍

Here is what Mark had to say about this Li’l Sweet Jalapeno Habanero beef jerky flavor from Ed’s RoadHousE Jerky: “Thanks Paul for the great taste review. I wholly agree with you. This flavor is an absolute treat for fans of a hot flavor. Very true in that you can taste both the jalapeno and habanero peppers. This flavor is not blow you away hot, but certainly spicy enough to satisfy. A no doubter Excellent (10/10) taste rating will be awarded.”

Ed’s RoadHousE Jerky sells online a 4 ounce/113 gram bag of jerky for $13.99. That equates to $3.50 an ounce, which rates at an expensive price.

Excellent (10/10) – Taste Rating

Bag Review

This clear non-plastic resealable has a label affixed to the front and nothing on the back. This bag is vacuum-sealed, the best way to keep jerky fresh tasting. There is an illustration of a flaming hot pepper on the front.

A slogan printed on this bag in “Nobody Beats My Meat”. Some facts written are “All Natural”, “No Preservatives or Additives”, and “Made in USA”.

Some bag categories missing are a bar code, jerky weight not stated in grams, a USDA inspected stamp, and a best before date.

Alright (6/10) – Bag Rating
