Vic Guido teamed up with Richard Cresswell in 2014 to create Red Truck Beef Jerky – a small, family-owned business that sustainably sources premium cuts of whole-muscle beef shoulder, right here in the USA. The result is the most tender and lean jerky on the market. For the past five years, they’ve focused almost exclusively on making their products accessible in physical stores. Today you can find them in Dick’s Sporting Goods, Kroger’s, Giant, GetGo, Ace Hardware, and many more spots. 10% of their online proceeds to Wounded Warrior Project.
In 2020, they were starting on their direct-to-consumer, online journey but were myopically focused on their customer’s experience. They’re coming to you directly so that they can serve you and engage with you more meaningfully. From engaging with them on social platforms to devouring their delicious products, your success is their success.
This Red Truck Beef Jerky brand name is distributed under the same name of Red Truck Beef Jerky, and it is located in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Red Truck Beef Jerky – BBQ Flavored Wild Boar Pork Stick
Written by guest jerky reviewer Paul Rekker
When I bite into the meat stick, I taste pork, maybe boar, not quite sure, I don’t know if I’ve had boar before. If I have, I don’t recall. Some other flavors I detect are salt, at a mild level, sweet, at a higher-than-I-like level, bbq/tomato/ ketchup, which may be partially responsible for the sweetness level. I also detect light levels of garlic and onion.
Overall, I find that I am wanting, that being more saltiness, less sweet, and more “snap” to the collagen casing. I want more WILD boar flavor and less pork flavor. This meat stick is not really doing it for me. I can go no higher than a 7 or 8/10. Gentlemen?

This Red Truck Wild Boar BBQ Stick bursts in a meaty taste while been carefully accentuated with rich onion and garlic flavor. The smokiness and slightly spicy kick are well paired with a little sweetness. I especially enjoy the flavor profile, which is reminiscent of Barbecued ribs.
The Red Truck Wild Boar Stick lives up to what it stands for. It is hard to put it down without taking another bite a moment later. I’d rate this delicious meaty snack 9/10 taste rating. I definitely miss the snap of a traditional casing where it would especially put this meat stick over the moon.
Here is what Mark had to say about this BBQ Flavored wild boar pork stick flavor from Red Truck Beef Jerky: “Thanks Paul and Stéphane for the honest taste reviews. Paul’s taste review is not all that surprising as historically Paul has not been a big fan of barbecue-based flavors. I found that the barbecue aspect of this flavor comes across in spades and tastes divine. True that the flavor of wild boar tends to be non-existent, but that is because of FDA rules forcing pork to be added. The only complaint I have about this flavor is that the texture lacks snap. With Stéphane and I at a 9 taste rating, and Paul at an 8, the majority will rule here, and a Very Good (9/10) taste rating will be awarded.”
Red Truck Beef Jerky sells online a box of twelve 1 ounce/28 gram box of meat sticks for $19.45. That equates to $1.62 an ounce, which rates at a cheap price.
